Thank you so much for doing videos like this! It helps me immensely when I’m deciding on paint purchases-especially with a brand like Rembrandt that I’d like to try but can’t find a ton of info on for some reason. I appreciate the work you put into this ❤️

👻👻👻 awesome! I’m so glad you have the full collection and that you’re sharing a paint out and your thoughts with us. I have a large Rembrandt set and have purchased a few tubes- you’re right about how well they rewet. A note about cad red light - try it in skin tone mixes!

Hi Alice. I would never have tried a cad red in a skin tone. But I will give it a go. I think of all the cad reds that I have, these Rembrandts are the most beautiful.

Which red,would more ideal for painting Santaclaus etc, for Christmas cards? Any suggestions anybody?! PS That Pyrol Orange and the Gamboge!!! You can't resist Rembrandts!

the 364 quinacridone red PR207 is a pink? i always thought it leaned orange since it’s in the warm reds section. that’s so interesting~ is it orange with a pink undertone maybe? or a pink with orange undertone?

Hi, Mandy! Thank you so much for sharing this precious review and swatches. I use Van Gogh paints mainly, and after a year of studies, I'm willing to have a "taste" of professional-grade paints. Considering my limited budget, I can only pick a couple of colors. Therefore, as I have many yellows, blues and reds/magentas already, I was thinking of adding a pure orange and a pure violet. I know, both are colors one should easily get from mixing but I really haven't enjoyed the mixes I've got, especially the orange ones, that always tend to dry dull, lifeless, opaque. 😟 I guess it'd be of great help to have reliable options for beautiful butterflies, birds and flowers. Like you, I prefer the most transparent paints, also the bright, vivid ones. Do you consider Pyrrol Orange the best fit, in this case? I've seen really nice swatch samples but things look different in real life, for sure. I'm also curious about the Blue Violet as well (PV23) and I found Rembrandt's the most beautiful sample of that pigment so far - another reason why I'm going to watch your next Rembrandt video now. I find it very difficult to give advice on what colors anyone should buy because a palette is such a personal thing. Personally I hardly ever use Pyrrole orange in my paintings because it's a very powerful and present color and in my painting palette it's almost always too overpowering.The Rembrandt Pyrrole orange is VERY beautiful, though. It really is a true orange and the most transparent and lightfast of them all. The 297 Benzimidazole orange is also a very beautiful true orange, a little more towards the yellow end, but it's slightly less transparent. If you're after mixing colors, you will notice a big difference when you start using artist grade paints. If you're after vibrant, transparent colors, you might want to give quinacridones a go. Mixing quinacridone reds with azo yellows gives a super warm vibrant and transparent glowing color to your work. The Bleu Violet by Rembrandt is amazing too! It's a pure violet indeed! I hope this is of help to you.

Sorry for that. The code of my wordpress site got corrupted and I had to make a new website, but haven't been able to connect alll the links yet.

How does it move in water? I like to put water on my page and add watercolor, you are right we do not have much info about this paint I want to get the 48 set since it is a good price right now. Thank you love and light to you.

You can access it online of course, but I think if you send them an e-mail, they'd be glad to send you one. Or you could contact an art supply store that sells this brand, perhaps?

Thank you so much for sharing. After seeing the live video yesterday, I've been looking for 610 here in Denmark, but can't find it. Do you have names of art supply store, which I can try to contact, who usually have Rembrandt. Now I will take a notebook and let me inspire....😊💞

Thank you so much! I sure will! So great you remember them! They were here for a short while. After training them for over half a year without any improvemt in their becoming any tamer I found out they were two years older than the seller had said they were and that they had lived in an aviary with a large group of linnies until I got them. The chances I was going to be able to train them into tame and cosy pets plummeted. Around that time our cat jumped on the cage once, just for a try... After that incident the male was ferocious and wouldn't allow me near the cage anymore. He'd attack me time and time again, even in the face. It became very stressful for all three of us and I decided both me and the two birds would be better off if the lived in a group of birds in an aviary again. I found them a really good home nearby where they could live to be old among their own kind. Then I spent a long time deliberating on whether I was going to have another bird and if so, which and now I have a kakariki - a mini parrot. Feisty, talkative, funny and super intelligent. And...I got him as a baby and he is now fully tame. Although birds do not get tame like cats and dogs do. There will always be that dinosaur brain that challenges the owner to think ahead one step or else.

You could use a better microphone or speak directly into it. I literally cannot understand a word and had to use captions. Very muffled sound.

I am sorry, really no disrespect to you at all, you are a great artist and I was so happy to find the complete swatches of Rembrandt,because I am researching it, but it’s too unfortunate, I cannot sit in watch for 3 hours,because thats how long all 3 videos are.This is not just swatching,it’s a lot of other things that has nothing to do with swatching, and my mind would go crazy listening to this. I understand you are excited about the colors,but this is just too much. So I guess I have to find another swatching video.

I come back to your videos so often when I’m interested in a color… such as right now I’m looking at that py128 transparent yellow medium… omg!!! And when I hear your reaction to it I’m sure of my purchase! Lol I always come back to see which colors you are really excited about! I come to your channel for that
