Whenever you upload a Mini Motorways video, I get inspired to try that same city and challenge as well. For this one, after one try (that did take about 2 hours lol) I am now in 8th place with a score of 4902! My technique was to make sure there was at least one road next to all the destinations so it would be easier to separate everything later on, and to have a little bit of luck. Apparently, it worked wonders haha.

Do not get traffic lights or roundabouts until you have 10-12 bridges. I wouldn't recommend roundabouts in general, but certainly not that early in the game. You have to really rework the map over and over again. I think you should give this map a couple more attempts. You know how insane it gets now and so if you are actively working to prevent that insanity from occurring you will get a better game. As far as the other challenges, Building Bridges is one of my favorites, far more relaxing then Dense-ity. My recollection is that it is a very fair board. Can't argue with your results, but the problem with roundabouts on a dense ass map like this is if you don't place them early there's no room to fit em in later. Unless you preemptively block out potential roundabout locations I spoze. But I'm glad blocking still works here. Coulda swore I played a different 'spawns spawn wherever tf they feel like' challenge where everything built on top of existing roads a la expert mode.

​@@solidXxXtuna The best use of roundabouts that I have seen is to calm large neighborhoods, but I don't think that applies on this map. The vast majority of the the time I think of roundabouts as a trap. Unless you know exactly where you are going to place the round about, it will be sitting in your hand doing nothing. You will also use up valuable head space trying to figure out a place to use the round about, when you could be working on solutions that will be easier to implement and rearrange later. Uprooting a roundabout usually incurs a massive opportunity cost. Far better to use traffic lights that you can be reallocate at will.

My record is 3101. 86th place. I was top ten for the longest time. The best advice I can give is to be on top of management. You can't make many changes once you get the spawns rolling. I find it interesting that normally you are a much better player than I, but this challenge hit different. RNG on this map matters too.
