Maybe someday we will get a sequel to that game now that we have the anime coming out this fall

I hope they add even more characters down the line, hopefully the game's popular enough to get multiple updates/DLCs for several years. Hoping we get some characters who never got the chance of being playable in previous games, such as the Sleeping Knights, Eugene, Recon. It has the potential to be a very good game imo. BTW, if some people are curious about Neige's name, it means Snow in French. Quite fitting giving her white hair and big winter coat.

I’m certain the Wild Joker Dress was based off the 5star Sinon with the same title from the mobile game SAO Memory Defrag! She’s even doing the same pose in the preview! It’s really cool to see that MD alongside Unleash Blading haven’t been forgotten about even after they’ve been shut down!!

Good catch! It's been way too long since I played MD, I dropped like during half of its life cycle so there was no way I'd be able to catch it!

Anyone else have a feeling they're going to bring Accel World into the mix with one of those DLC considering that it is canon in the anime of Accel World that Sword Art Online took place before it

I don't know whether to get on PS4, PS5 or Nintendo Switch later this December for Christmas from family. I might buy the DLC off the Playstation Network store. I kinda have my doubts if Chrysheight will ever be in the games as Kikuoka's character isn't that popular i guess. He's the only Male Undine I've seen aside from Sumeragi from Lost Song. Heathcliff/Kayaba and Kikuoka/Chrysheight are still 2 of my favourite supporting characters. I know Heathcliff was playable in Sao vs Accel World Millenium Twilight. Recon I never liked as a character because I found him to be mediocre and not right for Suguha/Leafa as a boyfriend.

So sounds like deluxe edition is good enough. Premium doesnt seem to add anything important

Thanks for the coverage. Your console SAO games news bring good memories. This feels like a step up from Last Recollection which I haven't bought yet. And apparently the developer is promosing too. Do you think I should go straight to it instead? I don't remember you making a full review of Last Recollection. I just like the Underworld arc very much, so I'm planning to buy it. But maybe this game will have some portion of Underworld too

I never really got around to making an Ultimate Review for Last Recollection, because there wasn't really anything that changed my opinion or further refined it compared to my First Impressions. I still wanted to make an Ultimate Review, but the character affinity grind felt way too heavy that I never got to fully complete the side events, so that one is still very much in the backlog :/ There is no barriers for Fractured Daydream though! Gameverse came to an end with Last Recollection and Fractured Daydream bases itself on the main canon.

Maybe, maybe not. We need to get a Season 4 first, which is far from completion in the Light Novels. Next stop is AGGO Season 2 Anime this October, and then sometime next year, an anime original movie for the main series SAO.

Will Playable Quinella have a birthday suit soon behind a paywall? I may be the only one asking but, trust me, plenty of people are thinking it.

Why is there no physical premium deluxe edition? Can we bonk Bandai on the head with a rock until they release one?

Physical bonuses are expensive to bring over and there's usually a lot of material that requires additional translation. The last one they did was Fatal Bullet Collectors Edition iirc. It probably does not pay off for them.

Hahahah, yeah, I believe it was the "Launch Trailer" of SAOFB that literally had Itsuki summoning the big boss monster on us. And also, I don't remember the exact contents but when Last Recollection Launch Trailer came out, I decided to not mention it due to how spoiler heavy it was, actually spoiling critical events that the official account from Japan asked people "not to stream" to not spoil things. The approach regarding to spoilers is incredibly different between the West and Japan. The West often takes a more "gray", they will not actively spoil events but are more understanding towards fans or communities spreading the word. Japan is a lot more black and white, there is an immense amount of respect for authority which in this case is the marketing effort of the brand, whereas the brand itself can be incredibly liberal at spoiling its own work, but anything beyond what the brand officially shared themselves, must be kept under wraps until further notice.

Can I ask well the account share on all platforms??

There is a physical release….. for the normal edition. :( No premium deluxe physical edition in the west unfortunately. I waited a lil while before preordering to see if they would add one, but it looks like they won’t.

They are bound to be announced. Yuuki will probably among the last of reveals tbh, just like during Last Recollection. I'd look towards Tokyo Game Show for that.

Extremely excited for this game! Amazing coverage as always you never disappoint when it comes to keeping up with sao so thank you! I find it upsetting that if you want a physical copy you miss out on the other pre order bonuses though. Hopefully they become dlc separately or something when the game comes out

The Demon King Outfit denotes underneath that the bonus "may be sold separately later", so while it's not nice, there's still a chance. Tbh, the optimal solution is making it an "early purchase bonus" where all players who log in within the first week just receive it, but I guess they did not go that way this time :/

Just preorders the premium edition. Looking forward to trying this game out when it releases

The story is single player, however during the beta, the Title Screen itself always requested server connection. However the way they push the wording "Offline" for the single player so much in marketing lately, it could be that it is actually a separate offline mode without any online requirements to start up.

TBH this should have been a ftp game. Soa fans will buy it but not normal people where they would download it for free. I'm still not sold on how you level in map as well. I get it's easier to balance but it's lame as hell. Is there long term progress? To many questions to preorder.

Tbh, the story commitment looks a lot larger than they had previously hinted at. I'm still not on board with the full 60$ tag, I still think the Multiplayer is where its at with SAOFD and a lower barrier of entry would be a lot more beneficial, but it's not looking as unreasonable as it did to me a couple days ago before these reveals. As for the long term progress, that's your Account Level and Individual Character Levels, which will in return allow you to take on harder World Tiers with better rewards or challenges etc. But I imagine there is more to it than that simple loop. If anything, I see the "World Tier" approach on its own to be an unsatisfactory hamster wheel since the first time I played Genshin, so I do hope there is more to late game than just "Get more powerful, so enemies get more powerful too".

I agree that the game should not have a $60 barrier of entry. Especially for a primarily online game. But trust me this game is amazing. I’ll be a beater when this game comes out so I can tell you now that this game is extremely fun because I have put more than 10 hours into it already! :)

I really hope they add create a character in an update or dlc in the future. This game is too promising to not have it

Honestly I won’t be getting this….hell I bought the last game hoping to play my Fatal bullet character but nah……not getting got again. I want a sequel Fatal Bullet or a new game where I’m the main character screw Kirito. I can’t believe.hack got beat by this crap

@@Gamerturk not blaming the game, the game has its own faults, but these games are sub par, and the creators are tone deaf, some fans ask specifically for one thing and they keep putting fingers to ears. I hope you guys enjoy the game but I’m done with the franchise

@@dontmindme9323 I strongly recommend not having the usual social media bubble syndrome. While there is a vocal portion of the community asking for an OCMC, a major part of the community further solidified their opinion that they do not want an OCMC due to how bad Fatal Bullet was written.
