The developers here are the same ones who made SAO Fatal Bullet, Sonic Colors, and some of the Dragon Ball Budokai games, so we might actually have a good game this around. Plus 20 player coop is gonna be a hilariously chaotic time.

That bonus costume, Kirito looks just like "Maou/King Satan from (The devil is a Part-Timer)".

lol, Bamco's MMO Blue Protocol already failed really hard in Japan due to many reasons (e.g lack of contents, balancing), so I honestly don't think they could even make a good SAO MMO game, and it would be best that they just let studios from South Korea to make it instead, since they're have more experinece in making MMOs for more than 20 years.

@@MegamanZXOmega lol, if there's something like SAO happened IRL, then it would be resolved in days, or even hours, since the company that made the game will be raided by the authorities, and they would force the devs to clean all the mess. But IF the devs somehow can't do it from outside, then they would send someone inside with imba stats + equipments & full admin privileges, and starts clearing the floors one by one until the end, which only took hours to complete, since the player could just OHK everything.

You just need to bring Aincrad MMO... or RPG....

Sao has content to make mmo's, rpgs, fighting games, etc, and there's not even one GOOD game. Again, i love Fatal Bullet, but we all know is a repetitive as hell game... and the other sao rpgs like hollow fragments and so... are very niche...

This looks like its building up to be the best sao game to date

October is insane for game releases!

We enjoyed the play test a lot and the contrasting playstyle of characters (Kirito with swords and Sinon with guns) I wish you would have done a physical collector's edition for this one as this is your culmination game of the franchise. Offline story mode is also welcomed but offline with battles and bots would be a great option. We look forward to October!

I personally don't see the issue with the graphics. But then again I'm someone who doesn't care much for graphics and can be quite easy to please. Thats not to say they shouldn't be a priority but. Eh. Looks like a fun time for this game though.

Everything is good and all, but really Offline Mode only has Story Mode? I was really hoping Online Modes can be played Offline with CPUs... I've been waiting for the game but there goes the hype. Still looks good but I don't think I'd buy it full price if I'm going for Story Mode only.

@@gauchegunawan7376 but I was referring to Online 20 Player Mode to be playable Offline and those 20 Players are replaced with CPUs. I don't usually like to play Online and I like to keep some games that will last long even after the servers are down.

Hoping all the digital deluxe content is sold separately as dlc for those of us that Still buy physical editions. Im so sick of companies trying to force these huge digital editions that have content that cant be purchased separately.

Bro it doesn’t even matter because Bandai US decided that even the digital premium version of the English version doesn’t get all the stuff the Japanese version gets. We’re missing an entire audio drama CD ffs. I don’t care if they don’t translate the audio drama or not, but they need to at least include it!

Honestly yeah, don't need it to have a very big story, just a customizable base character, not a customizable Kirito or the casts. Lost Songs had one but it's too generic and less customizable. Fatal Bullet had the most quality.

Hopefully they update with the english dub cast because i know the beta didnt and does say on steam that no english va but please bandai add the English dub actors from the anime

This game after playing first beta test is a lot better than previous 2 titles so I'd I think I will buy it. The multi-player is fun but the maps still don't compare to fatal bullets dungeon maps. Then again we haven't seen all the maps yet.

Found out physical is the basic edition only. No deluxe or premium deluxe in the west. No audio drama CD either even if you buy premium, which the Japanese version has. I am sad. :c … I still bought premium in English anyway.

Is this part of video game continuity, or is it starting over with a new one that follows the anime/light novels? Anyway, this one shows promise. I’ve played Hollow Fragment, Lost Song, Hollow Realization (best one), and Accel World vs. SAO.

It kinda looks like it acknowledges Anime Timeline though. And considering Kirito says Oberon is supposed to be gone, Oberon never had any real appearance in the Gameverse except in SAOvsAccel World's post content and even then that Oberon is just a creepy NPC and not the actual Human ALO Antagonist. That said, I wish Animeverse Kirito and Asuna know somewhere in a different Universe Yuuki is still alive. I'm not sure where I read that they are planning to make a brand new gameverse Continuity that acknowledges both Anime and Gameverse but at this point Fractured Daydream's plot just hits the spot for that.

@@AxZelAnimations30 Yeah this game takes place directly after the last episode of the anime so it's normal it acknowledges it. But it won't have any impact on the main serie Actually Oberon appears in Infinity Moment and Hollow Fragment, but under the name Alberich I wish it too.. 😞

@@Opartox oh welp so it's kind of IM and HF that they split the timeline while acknowledging the Anime. This is another Gameverse Timeline that isn't connected to Infinity Moment's roots. As for Oberon, I have no idea about him showing up. Well I played Infinity Moment without having any context because it's Japanese and when I played Hollow Fragment I went to Hollow Area right away. Did Kirito met Sugou's Oberon Avatar in IM/HF or is it like Sugou's different Avatar? It's odd that Kirito does not recognize Oberon if that's the case unless neither Oberon is canon.

Hollow Fragment is a remake of IM, that adds the Hollow Area with Philia so it's actually the first game of the gameverse, now for the real explanation. The gameverse starts right at the beginning of the Heathcliff vs Kirito fight. Except here, Kirito wins thanks to a bug caused by certain circumstances. So everything that happens in the anime after the battle between Heathcliff and Kirito does not exactly exist in the gameverse (at least not in the same way. Oberon don't exist at all (Accel World IS not canon to the gameverse btw), he's called Alberich, and he entered SAO by accident, so Kirito don't know him at all. And Asuna recognize him later because he reveals who he is. I'm sorry if this is not clear 😭, if you need more explanation, feel free to ask !

Hmm not sure how i feel about this. Wouldve liked more fatal bullet style game tbh. From the beta it felt like a modified or reduced version of FB. And no character creation? Big rip. I get for the story mode they are telling a narrative, but online shouldve had character creation atleast. Oh well still new sao game when we didnt think another would be possible!

@@Scarecrow248When I played the beta there were only like 6 different characters available and there weren’t very many Kiritos at all actually. Kirito feels more generic than other characters due to how he is simply a damage dealing swordfighter even if he does have two swords. Most people would at least be Leafa if they wanted to use a sword due to the ability to fly and heal is what I found, and even then, characters like Argo were more popular due to being more unique.

@@Scarecrow248Oh also I forgot to mention that Bandai put a failsafe to avoid many people playing the same character. You can only have 1 of each character on each team, meaning that if Kirito is on Team A, there cannot be a second Kirito on Team A. This obviously will not apply to CaCs though since the idea is that CaCs are supposed to be unique (even if they’re all super boring to anyone other than the player that created it). So you could have at maximum 5 Kiritos in the entire lobby, but you could have at maximum 20 CaCs.

I swear half of these comments never played any other games or watched beyond Aincrad arc lmfao

The problem is Progressive has only been written up to either floor 8 or 9. There is no more content after that because it hasn’t been written yet. There could be an anime to cover what was missing from the movies, but even then they’d have to start from the very beginning to remove Mito from the timeline because Mito is made up, not canon, and fucks with Asuna’s character. If they wanted to actually adapt the novels then they would have to either get rid of Mito entirely and start fresh or just make an adaptation with Mito in it that is completely made up and not at all canon, which is not what the majority of fans want when they say they want Progressive to continue in anime form. Most fans want a faithful adaptation, which the movies are not. I know it sounds like I hate Mito and the movies but I really don’t. Mito is pretty good. It’s just that this is not the true story of Progressive.

The only thing I don't like about SAO is its infamous harem but if you're putting Dating Sim in the game, at least make it that the players are actually the one experiencing it because honestly I'm good enough for Kirito×Asuna ship, I don't want to see other characters be with Kirito in bed (besides Agil). Dating Sim with your character and the SAO characters is a great option to include in the game without me feeling bad for Asuna.

My main issue with these games are they have some amazing voice actors, but there are English voice actors for the anime that they refuse to use for the games. I understand Japanese semi and I know there are subtitles, but feel like the games would be a lot more interesting if we had option for English dub

The problem is that they would have to overlocalize the script and that affects players who choose to play in Japanese because the subtitles would no longer match what was being said. The English dub script is very different from the Japanese translated script. While having English voice actors would make the game appeal to more people and that is a good thing, as long as they continue to change the script so heavily when making English dubs, I do not want English dubs in the game because it will compromise the accuracy of the subtitles for me who plays with Japanese voices. Basically, anime studios need to do better. This isn’t a problem with the English language. This is a problem with companies localizing scripts too heavily and affecting Japanese voice choosers.

i like the sound of this seems like xenoverse 2 idea but in sao world which is nice i also liked fatal bullet but had its flaws im hoping this game to be better

God this looks so good, I'm already loving the story idea of the characters from different points in the story meeting, such as first ALO Leafa meeting Aincrad Kirito and Asuna, can't wait to play this.

This game is being developed by DIMPS, which only developed SAO Fatal Bullet before. The studio that developed most other SAO games (including the 2 most recent ones) was Aquria, and then there's also Artdink which worked on a couple other games (Lost Song and the Accel World vs SAO spin off).

@@ezodagrom I've only liked Aquaria because IM, HF and HR, while ArtDink's ALO (Flight) Games are good enough. Not a huge fan of Aquaria's Lycoris (Underworld). It's only when DIMPS' Fatal Bullet (GGO) that made SAO Games a little bit more popular besides the Mobile Games. So it's kind of a hype rn to see DIMPS again.
