An entire game focused on coop? Yessss... And made by the Fatal Bullet devs too. Fatal Bullet was the only SAO game I really liked. All this is missing now is character creation. I hope they'll add it, because me and my friend really want to play as our old characters from Fatal Bullet. They've even added the same outfits Fatal Bullet had.

They should just make it an mmo

I would still like a create a character option because I know there will be a lot of kiritos instead of our own dual wielders cause with the class system they set up we could’ve had specific weapons and skills from each master but allow characters to play original masters maybe they would have their own gimmicks to make you still want avatar characters but if we have a lobby for originality not just wanting to see 10-15 kiritos in the lobby and if it’s a xenoverse like hub world while in between content then it will also feel kind of just like we are skins of each other

I agree. This game system has a LOT of potential, so it's definitely gonna be hella disappointing, knowing that everyone is gonna default to just "x character but with y accessories". I might have to ultimately give this game a pass if there's no option to play as a custom character for the story mode like we could for Hollow Realization or even Fatal Bullet.

@@SpideyfanXmy thoughts we could have pvp added as dlc or free updates but only being avatar limited can be ranked or you have to have the exact same skills as a set master for ranks to make a team pvp based system balanced or a free for all mode with our own cacs there’s a lot of variety if they add cacs alongside many modes they can touch on making this game the xenoverse like sao with gameverse maybe being added as dlc as well they have a lot to pull from and cacs can add a whole level of replay ability

@@CRXII That could work. But me personally, I'm just glad that they're at least being honest instead of being deceptive like Lycoris and Last Recollection were when they allowed player customization, but everyone still kept calling you Kirito even if you rename yourself.

@@SpideyfanXexactly if you’re going to be able to to play with 20 people in co-op people are going to get confused if it’s all just Kirito.

I saw that they have customization for the characters, like accessories and whatnot, and there was a full gas mask option for one of them. Definitely running that when this game goes live. Looks pretty exciting.

I'm excited for the game honestly. A lot of the SAO games are fun but they also feel like combat and replayablity take a back sit over story and the many many many side quests. I was able to get into the beta so I can't wait to test it for myself.

I'm absolutely hoping to see Yuna as a support character, Eiji with his Nautilus KoB uniform as an Outfit option would also be gorgeous!

I'd say YUNA and Eiji have a pretty solid chance of appearing. They are quite popular, and are also the golden children of the Anime side that Aniplex usually pushes for their inclusion quite often.

This looks a lot closer to what I have been wanting an SAO to look like. I never liked the look of Lycoris. I'm not a big fan of online boss raids plus likely playing on Switch I hope it can keep up lol. I'm looking forward to this though, I see a lot of potential.

Fatal bullet was the only Sao game I'd say was good and I played at least 100 hours in it so if they improved their game making skills I'm looking forward to this one this is definitely one to be excited for

This is basically the spiritual successor to Fatal Bullet in terms of gameplay and format. Just no custom character.

6:10 if they pull from every arc, I imagine Kirito is gonna need therapy if Sachi is involved If we based just on light novel and anime, we can have Mito from the progressive movies, Yuna and Eiji from Ordinal Scale, LENNN and company to promote AGGO, they can even add Kuro from the Girls Ops manga, while she's not canon to the main series, this is set in ALO and she's a player in that game

When I first read "fallen allies", it immediately gave me the assumption that Sachi & her group are going to be added soon. I also think the move characters are going to be included, but you make a good point about the AGGO gang. They'll probably going to be part of the Gunner class since they've already have Sinon in the beta.

Just hope the game is stable online, they have enough to make this game amazing as long as they can pull it off they have a chance to be the most successful sao game to Date !!

Also, among characters I want in FD. Chrysheight would be nice, as he is supposedly a top-tier mage. Maybe even Recon, all of the Sleeping Knights, ALO Faction Leaders. PoH would be very interesting too... Very interesting indeed.

The multiplayer really look fun i cant imagine how chaotic and funny if they add ig voice chat 🤣 (im hoping for the next sao game after this one to be more like hollow realization)

Ok, I'm actually slowly getting interested. I just need to know business model (gacha, one time purchase or whatever) and the "feel" of combat

This looks like SAO All-stars, which is good because it looks like they're bringing the best of SAO and mush it all into one game. No care in the world about being "close to the novel" or OC, they'll just pull off a new MMORPG that hopefully can stand as its own SAOverse or, if in canon, as part of the seed, a game that some big company can come up with, using the characters have stood out one way or another.

I'm expecting Klein to likely be a debuffer and attacker of sort. Perhaps a Tank+Debuffer playstyle.

When the Full Game Releases; will you be doing playstreams with viewers or fans? I'm 100% Buying this game regardless of anything since I've got to top off my SAO Collection.

looks like a lot of assets from fatal bullet are pulled for the accessories and costumes. not mad about it, just hope we get to make a custom character that can use every weapon or class for coop missions and boss raids.

Wouldnt hold my breath for it. The main reason why we have character picks is because they have locked presets same as Fatal Bullet which can easily be balanced accordingly.

If this game succeeds, I'll see it as a good opportunity for the next games to build on this action RPG gameplay, rather then the objectively clunky controls of the past games

I want Kizmel back so badly.

Just an idea... Silver Crow : Ranger or Support. Focus on Range partially Melee. Possibly uses winged mode to safely revive a singular fallen ally. Black Lotus : Rogue. Movement-based combat similar to Argo with some range capabilities. Perhaps her Ultimate can be the only Ranged and Melee attack, Starburst Stream [Sever] or [Piercing] Modes can be switched as depicted in AW Canon. Graphite Edge : Fighter or Tank. Less focus on dexterity like Kirito. More so rigid yet heavy strikes as depicted in AW vs SAO. Rigid Combos and Sword Skills, generally slower movement in comparison to Lotus or Kirito. Also, Elucidator Coating Pattern for Graphite Edge?

It's definitely a chance we could see Diavel/Diabel, Kizmel, Sleeping Knights, Ronye, Tiese, Sortiliena, and Mito. Layla as well! Seeing as the Story of Cross Edge and concept even more so aligns with Fractured Daydream than Integral Factor.

I knos the gsmeverse is over but stleast hope they let the characters in as playable. I just love rain and seven.

Remember when Oberon is a DLC in AWvsSAO. Actually okay I'm confused. Is this the NPC Oberon from AWvsSAO or this Oberon is from the actual Anime/Manga Universe? The Game's Timeline is pretty much split in Infinity Moment / Hollow Fragment so I'm interested. And speaking of Time and Space and Accel World, at this point they should probably add Accel World characters and Persona Vabel.

AWvsSAO is not even canon to the Gameverse, and this game is not part of the Gameverse either. That continuity ended with Last Recollection.

I thought Dimps also did the Underworld games. Okay, I've been a big Dimps fan since the GBA era so I have big hopes, granted that we already saw how Fatal Bullet came out to be. Kagemitsu's Attack Animations are so great that I thought someday they should make a Sword Game with Fatal Bullet's Style, and maybe hoping this is it. Just hope they actually do a Battle Arena Mode with all Players against Players or VS CPU Players, always wanted an actual BoB with PvP or PvCPU.

Nope, both Lycoris and Last Recollection were by Aquria, same devs as Hollow Fragment and Realization. Currently, no info on PvP in Fractured Daydream, but it does not look like there is one atm. We only know about offline story and online coop.

@@Gamerturk hoboy, I found out just now that Infinity Moment is also Aquaria. Pre-Underworld, I liked their games tbh. That's a bummer though. I mean they lock most of the stuff online but clearly they can do most of the Online Stuff be replaced by Offline AIs. One thing I've always wanted was to have an actual Offline Deathmatch in Fatal Bullet. Still I'm hoping, but if the only thing Offline Single Player offers is Story Mode, I will have to drop it unfortunately.

Which type do you guys plan on maining? Ive always felt more confortable playing healers so i think i will be a support type character.

I'll probably go with my favorite characters and adapt to whatever the role is. Klein, Argo, Kirito etc.

Max armor max 99 weapons I still can't beat the damn Marina art of DLC

It really refreshing gameplay like sao hollow realization or fatal bullet. Sao LR is good but the combat it slow because the boss had huge HP and damage we give it small. So yeah it takes long time and boring. Hope this like sao fatal bullet. And hope quinela is playable in party and bed scene will free too.

Does anyone have the link for where to signup for the closed beta for the US? Went to the page for the game on Bandai of America, but didn't mention anything for beta signups.

It's a primarily Multiplayer Coop game, so expect trophies to be "more accessible" than the extreme and specific grind of the previous Gameverse games. Probably things related to completing story, ranking up account level, character levels, upgrading accessories, defeating multiplayer challenges like "Defeat World Rank 5 Raid Boss" or something. So more things you would earn through natural gameplay if you enjoy the game. Since it's not PvP but rather Coop, I imagine that won't cause much trouble either. No equipment gifting/trading as far as we know atm. I wouldn't expect it either.

Is there gonna be a way to invite another party of 4 incase i have 8 or more people to play with?

I'm guessing queuing up for coop will need us to pick the role. There's no way players will not pick the same role or character when playing. Also 2 different coop modes with 20 players each. I hope it's successful because that needs a lot of players to work.

It's too early to comment of course, but I'd imagine they won't have role pre-picks for queueing. That requires a vast amount of constantly active playerbase and even that can cause shaky matchmaking times. I expect we'll just be dropped into a lobby in the hopes of people will roughly accommodate the team. And that should really suffice, I do not expect the balancing to be so tight that the game would be rendered impossible without covering all the roles. Especially with Coop Quest puts you in a party of 4 in your own instance until final boss where you cannot cover all roles anyways. I'd wager Attackers and Supports being more sought after, while other roles will be more along the lines of "it'd be good if we had these".

The reason for that is that the showcase was using the CBT build we'll be playing next week, which is limited to 6 characters. Speaking purely out of numbers, there had to be 3.3 of the same character on average in a given lobby of 20.

The anime is better in the games because they don't mess it up games that's why I like the anime better because it doesn't get messed up

It's not enough level cap couldn't get the weapon out of the dungeon art of DLC are there Arena because the accuracy issue because the accuracy issue and on the power

I know it's probably a no but what is there a chance this is going to be at least have the option of English dub voice acting I just wanted to know I've got nothing against the Japanese dub I just wanted to ask if it was going to be included in this game

Disappointed with offline campaign. One of the best part about lycoris was you could go through the story with a friend. Better than no multiplayer I suppose.

I have a friend who loves to be a big ass big sword or family like me me and him no longer play sword art games because they messed them up at what time they made a new one

So, can we say that FD is canon to the anime/LN? Regardless, I think that this game's story is going to be kinda like what Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. In that game, most of the worlds & characters were just illusions created by the MCs memories. So, I'm assuming Asuna & the rest of the main cast are real while the dead characters (& Argo & probably Mito) are just illusions created from Kirito's memories. And lets be honest, I think most people would've chosen Asuna, Eugeo, & Yuuki if they were playable in the beta. Although, excluding Asuna & Eugeo is also understandable towards story reasons & Kirito's character. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to this game & I just signed up for the beta!

Because you overestimate the potential popularity and feasibility of such a game like everyone else. There is no reason to make a MMORPG themed around "clear 100 floors" as a gimmick, when so many incredible proper MMORPGs exist that it would pale against.

For me if it gets CAC imma buy it if not not even gonna look at it 😅

ok!!!! having the devs of fatal bullet making the game, gives promise to me, i feel that was by far the best sao game so far, art style was better.. bandai is so damn bg how have they not made this anime into a true sao mmo yet? theres so much ptential but all the games fall flat on their face to some degree

But i guess his ending is a result of the gameverse constabtly switching companies every other game. I feel like the gameverse wouldve been much more streamlined if just one company handled it all. Even still, I will pray we get a FB 2 somewhere, somehow!

We do not know yet. Some third party retailers already have it listed for full game price, but they may just be false placeholders. We dont know the extent of the game, but its format feels like it can benefit greatly from being F2P.

I dont know why they make half baked sao games each year, sao fb and sao al was probably the best saos to come out, sao fb was the peak of sao and no sao game will beat how amazing the game was, the story and levelling system was so fun and the end game was amazing as well, sao al was pretty good although the story was way to longed out and pretty boring, the endgame dungeons and raids was so fun to play and grind out with my buddies, sao al had so much potential and it kinda fell flat and felt like it was missing something besides it being a little beginner friendly and easier Sao lr was probably the most disappointed I’ve felt about a game in a while, the story was pretty boring and the whole story experience as a whole was lack lusted and very niche, there is absolutely no end game or late game content to do once you beat the story, i don’t understand how they went from a masterpiece which was sao fatal bullet, to an awful experience in sao last recollection, sao has so much potential but always gets ruined by lazy devs

If we dont get character creation, I'll be crushed. Fatal bullet was phenomenal with it and seeing how similar this is.

Fatal Bullet's implementation of OCMC was so bad that the guy was officially relegated to a delivery boy who no longer plays games.
