these ruins did not exist during this period. this game is super anachronistic with those stone castles and stave churches and random aqueducts and 60 feet tall statues everywhere

@@jozsuabeleelvezo9059 Of course they did! This game is set only 400 years after the Romans left. In fact the ruins may be a little too ruined for my liking.

One thing that Ubisoft almost always excels at is world design. This, Origins, and Odyssey, are absolutely gorgeous.

the game is adding structures. ancient lunden looked nothing like rome because it was a forward base ran by assimilated locals, lots of mortar/stone walls but not a lot of columns

HEY DDG, just found your channel and instantly subbed! These are great. I have a question for ya (or anyone else who might be able to lend their thought) with this sorta tech... I guess unreal engine? maybe? (or whatever) how long do you think it'll be before creatives - maybe with a team of 5 to 10 people will be able to create full length movies using 100% this tech. using eleven labs style voice tech, etc etc... I don't foresee that being too far away - and it's immensely exciting to have the ability to create such photo realistic content and quite literally be in control of absolutely every aspect. These kinds of immersive worlds are way better than anything that could be filmed in reality. (Except maybe Tarkovsky.) Someone said on here though that it would be nice to lessen the sound of the footsteps, and I agree. But this channel is great, and I like almost every single one of the videos..

Looks amazing in 4k, thanks for these videos it would be more relaxing if the footstep noise was taken out or minimized.

People are crazy when they say they hated this game. To me, this was the best AC. The best environment. First AC game I literally walked and trotted around on my horse in. For the entire game. And everything was amazing. This game wasn't long enough in my opinion.

I can easily say the worst AC since they went the full on RPG direction has been Mirage. So damn boring. Should've just kept it a DLC

I've never play any of the AC games, but this looks so impressive. I've played God of War, Horizon, and Witcher 3.

I dont like how saturated the colors are, I put filter to desaturate and add vignette settings in Nvidia to make it more cinematic.

Would England truly have looked like this?

I was excited to play this on steam but then once I bought it, I discovered how atrocious the audio quality is. AAA multibillion dollar company btw.

They really should do fantasy worlds because these real life worlds are not too interesting. The ruins, the cities are interesting, the trees and bushes are just like outside of my house. Ubisoft built much more beautiful worlds than bethesda ever did or could anymore, if they could find a fantasy talent like they have world building talents they could do something awesome. Just imagine a world, mixture of what they did in Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla but filled with fantasy flora and fauna and you could chose different species to play with and you would have clothing choice like in Odyssey! And of course... A Boat!!! Ubisoft could do wonders if they wouldn't care about money this much.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I really want to "live" in these worlds they are able to build, not just being there as an assassin. If I could live anywhere I can in Odyssey I would live in Chora. If I could live anywhere I can in Origins I would live in Chora. It's not that far from Egypt. :)

It's such a shame that the game itself it's just a mindless looter-rpg. This world is beautiful !

One large open world , nothings really going on , repetative combat animation , less enemy veriety. Could have been a better game. The Viking setting was so great !!

I like the open world, better than Odyssey. There are plenty of side missions/enemy patrols but yeah, inbetween cities and villages/towns there is not much going on. I liked combat, many abilites, many weapon variations, ability to dual wield any 2 weapons changing weapon combos and there was alot of different enemy types imo.

9 hours of play through and I just can't continue. This is the most lackluster entry in the entire series. Odyssey and Origins are any day better than this boring endless grind.

Why not in first person? When a character is shown walking, it is unclear: 1) Either we are enjoying a beautiful environment. 2) Or we constantly see the back of a character who is going somewhere. Why are we looking at the character and his back? Why is this necessary? What's the point? The character does not perform any actions - he just walks. So why this unnecessary item? Why does it distract our attention? Why does it constantly flash before your eyes, preventing you from enjoying the surrounding beauty? After all, we have nothing to do with the character. Because of this, I have to ignore these videos. I don't understand this concept.

It's more enjoyable and counterintuitively immersive having the character in frame. It provides a more grounded perspective via a wider field & depth of view, superior spatial awareness, more cinematic characteristics, etc. It's no coincidence the majority of channels like these use third-person view. It's more enjoyable for most.
