Relaxing Core Exercise

Learning to use your core properly is the foundation of healthy movement. In ballet, the core works so the limbs, neck, & shoulders can be free to move. This is the secret to looking graceful!
In this video I teach how to engage the core with the breath. The exercise is very gentle and calming--but just because you're not sweating doesn't mean you aren't working! This focused & gentle core work will help you find the core support that will transform your body and your ballet technique! No amount of sit-ups will do this. Instead, let your self slow down and get connected to your center as you release the neck & shoulders. This is the most important work of core and posture!

Practice is the best!!! Once you find that feeling of “hugging in your core” it will empower your posture and all your movements! 😊✨🩰
Very helpful in getting the center of gravity a little lower! Struggling a little with this in my riding so this exercise reminds me how the ground down through the feet with the breath - beautiful!

So glad it’s helpful! Coming home to the lower core (instead of getting tense in the upper body) is the secret to stable, graceful movement! I love thinking of you doing your ballet on horseback! 🐎🩰🥰👏

We love our tiekka honestly I can be alittle bd with core bracing so always good to gdo lessonslike this so i can rememeber the basics :)
