My great grandparents escaped the Armenian genocide in 1919 and hid in rugs on ships going from Armenia to America. They brought their music and culture with them and I am proud to be an Armenian American 🇦🇲

As a South African, being troubled with the issues from that corner of the world, ive never had exposure to Armenian culture or music before. This is something i regret. The music is deep, emotional and speaks to a rich past filled with heriosm, tragedy and sadness. After listening to this, i find myself wanting to learn more about Armenia. This music is beautiful, and if it represents the culture and the people, there is real treasure there.

@@mosescreationofcreater2406 I used Google Translate to be able to understand. This is what it says: Read Matthew 7:13, 14 in the Bible. Notice that Jesus said that there are only two roads: through the wide gate you can get to the spacious road, and through the narrow gates you can get to the cramped one. There is no third option. Satan hides from those who walk this road what awaits them at the end of the road. But the Creator Jehovah says very clearly what he has prepared for those who follow the road that leads to life (Ps. 37:29; Isa. 36:5, 6; 65:21-23). And it’s up to us to decide for ourselves what to do. which road will we take? There cannot be a more important decision: it determines whether we will live forever or not."

It is a reference to the poet Rumi. Dervishes spin till they raise their conciousness to a higher level.. stories tell they can spin for days, because time as we understand it doesn't apply on them anymore. same as the illusion that everything outside of yourself is separate from you. As I see the world.. we used to know where we came from and why we did. from a divine source of love which is undescribeable from our current comprehension. This materialistic world unplugged us from remembering this essential knowledge and it is a playground of free will which determines your character when a higher purpose of your existence seems hidden from the viewpoint of this world. We are love and love is our true self.
Reading comments full of kindness and love from people from everywhere, is as good as this music. Greetings from Brazil, my dear brothers and sisters.

As an half armenian on my mother side, who loves to watch turkish dizi and listening turkish music, It’s a great pleasure to read your comment. Music and art can unite people, it’s politic Who divide them. Armenian music is indeed pure feelings. If people were more openminded Like you and me, it would be better... but reading your comment, tells me That there is still hope.

I feel this music in my soul ❤ the Duduk has made me fall in love with Armenia and their culture. I'm learning all I can about this mysterious land and its wonderful people ❤❤ Greetings from the Island of St. Lucia 🇱🇨

Such beautiful music. Armenians are good people, very industrials and self sufficient.
Thank you, brothers and sisters, all the world people, who love peace and art. Armenia never destroyed any country or people, we created, we lived in peace with many different cultures, religions, and races. When we fought, we fought for our identity. Since childhood, we learn to respect all languages and cultures. In Armenia, we say "as many languages you know, as more human you are". Thanks, all my cosmopolitan friends.

I had a close friend who was Armenian. She introduced me to the food, music and culture...I attended her daughter's wedding where there was an American band and Armenian band....I danced like an Armenian..as a Jewish woman the notes resonated...the movements seemed familiar.. Music brings people close...I'll never forget that experience ...Linda 🐝

Look, no culture or people are better than other cultures or peoples. So this kind of self grandiose sentiment is repellent and counter productive. All people are the same, we all need to learn from the painful lessons in history, and move to a better future together.

I am from Europe. I am in my 40's. I was recomended to listen to this by youtube after I was listening to some arabic guitar music to relax. I started to read comments. Out of curiosity while listening... i searched on google "what is duduk". And then I searched and read the wikipedia page about Armenian Genocide. And the first time in many, many years ... I cried. The dukduk is such an interesting instrument. It must be difficult to play. The music is breathtakingly beautiful! certainly a culture that only exists in Armenia! Armenia, you adopted Christianity so early!
World music is so beautiful and connects so many people together. Looking in the comments, I have only seen people being respectful and kind, spreading love.. And that's so beautiful. Music connects people together no matter the origin, race, nationality.. Gender.. Must be one of the big reasons music is regarded as such a spiritual thing for many people. It connects people to each other which then connects them to the divine and the world around them. Beautiful..
