@@juanmiguel7460 I had to redownload my games but the stuff you have on your hardrive data for the games wasn’t deleted or anything so all I had to do is put my games redownloading other than that I’ve retained all my save data

Been looking for this for years.

I really hope the PS5 goes back to how the PS3 was in the early days, some dedicated flash for the OS seperate from the main storage so we can swap the main storage drive without having to go through all this.

fun fact: I was able to download the file on my phone instead of my laptop.

@@TeoAe. Guys I fixed it a month ago, after playing from fresh, I realized that with ps+ you have cloud backup. So just open save data management and reinstall all your game data. Your captures and all those will still be gone but atleast you have your data. Some of mine was lost from when I didn’t have ps+ tho

It would start the the same error would appear after following all the steps. I'm sad.

The wait for the PS5 Reveal is a meme at this point. I think it'll come out of nowhere and we are closer to it than we think.

PlayStation, y’all is messing up for real, step ya game up and fix these mistakes because it’s ruining us gamers. I just wanna play my PlayStation and now I gotta deal with problems like this. I’m sure xbox players are doing just fine

Its not really playstations fault. Hardrives on average only last 5 years before they fail.

You would also want to reinstall the system software (i.e. the operating system) if you're upgrading your internal storage drive. The thing to remember is to make sure your data is backed back fist on an external drive that is at least 2x the capacity of your PS4's internal storage drive. After you do the full system back up, then you'd swap out the drive, and finally go through the process of reinstalling system software. If you have PS+ you should also backup your save data to the cloud just in case. But then again, if you have PS+ you're probably already doing the auto-backup. Oh and another thing to do before this is to sync your PS trophies.

@Danyar Ghafor I got an issue with 8.1 it said the error and... After replugging the console it was fine so I might buy a new ps5 if a can

Does this works for update 7.51? Because I did step by step but i still have the same message.

After reinstall system software files on the playstation do you still got to install it to the latest update 10.50?

Happened to me the week before the reveal of the ps4.

At last.. been waiting for 7 years to play my PS4 again....

7.02 is "Installed" but is just making all my games lag to the max

Ps4 before quarantine: ...normal... Ps4 in quarantine: DAMAGED DATA, APP FREEZING, PS4 DOESN'T START, LAGS... I'm not joking this is happening to me 😔

I think it's setting up for April fools Day, they must've heard of people hacking the switch to use all manner of systems... They didn't say it but it's likely the reason for this

I will play fxcking warzone and when i reinstalled my account I'd didn't have one game on it its making me sick I downloaded warzone again and I can't play my account all the money all of this was a waste of time and money I want that all back my ps4 pro is new i have it 3months and than this..... What a shame hope you feel the same whit me and wish that Sony give us that back what they took from us...!!!

Everything that was shown in this video was exactly as I done before this video was uploaded and it still does not work

The update stops at 99% and it says "cannot initialize"

I did this and got all the way to the “The ps4 will be initialized. All users and data will be deleted. Are you sure you want to continue? And then I clicked yes and it immediately said the system storage cannot be accessed something like that and the only other option was “turn off ps4” what do I do now?

Umm, cool? Can we get a PS5 reveal now?

This happened to me a week or two ago, instead of doing this I turned it off, smacked it a couple of times, then turned it on and it started up normally.

I can see I'm not the only one with this issue PS4 is going to owe us . They fried my HHD . I can't find the complete software anywhere
