Thank you so much it seemed to work.The file names have to be exact format Fat23. I struggled with it. I did it from a android phone to transfer into the flash drive without the computer. However it brought me right back to the same screen. However instead of updating I just reinstalled the ps4 software & it worked. The only thing is reinstalling is like doing a factory reset.

thank you, but It showed me the same result then i tried update with interenet and for some reason that worked but when it was turning on(loading up to 100 percent right before the blue screen) it went back to what it was showing, I still can't use it

my ps4 wouldn't download the 10.50 update from my usb, even though it was properly formatted etc... I re-entered safe mode after 3 months and it allowed me to download the 10.71 update online for some reason, after the download and update my ps4 gave the same message "File cannot be used, connect a usb with ver 10.71....)(CE-34788-0) wtf?? Rinse and repeat and it still wont work >:(

If this doesnt work for you. Start your ps4 in safe mode by holding the power button down until the second beep. Then you can update from there over the internet no flash drive needed. I had to initialize mine because nothing else worked.

If your still having issues. I had to start my ps4 in safe mode by holding the power button till the second beep. Then from there you can update over the internet or initialize your ps4 like i had to.
