maybe try a lower firmware version that you can find online, then to a later one

@Slifer 4L ok so I figured it out! You’re getting the su error because you probably downloaded the file more than once and it’s in a way where the PS4 won’t be able to read it

If after that you run into error in CE download the reinstalling update instead and follow those same steps

@@jujuaurelus no but Ik what the problem was. So when I went to clean my ps4, I had to unplug the 2 cables behind the disc bit, it’s between the battery and the disc. And it wasn’t plugged in properly so then after that I plugged it back and put everything back together and it worked

you need to make a file named PS4 in all caps then make a file inside the previous file that called UPDATE in all caps the paste the update file inside the update file

Hello, when I insert the USB device and turn on the Ps4 it says that “The update file cannot be used. Connect a USB storage device that contains an update file for reinstallation for version 9.00 or later. (CE-34788-0)”. The update file is downloaded in the USB device though, the problem is my power button is broken so I can’t use it, I’m starting the Ps4 with the DualShock PS button. Any ideas how to proceed? I’m getting desperate

@@grantlehnherr9944 hold the button on the ps4 untill the second beep, connect the controller and then scroll down to factory reset. It will wipe all ur data off of the ps4 ur games will stay with ur account but u have to redownload them
