Superman was indeed weakened when he came back in the comics. The black suit is designed to help him recharge faster.

The DCAU is exactly what the DCEU should of been.

The eradicatior was just badass in this film. Loved him out of all the dupe Supermen in this film.

Whenever Superman makes a triumphant return, the hype gets unreal. Even Metroman's return (really Megamind) is such an epic moment for me

You guys really should check the whole series. It would be a jaw drooped experience when you got to the *_JLD: Apokolips War_*

The reason for the Black Suit is it's a solar suit which increases the amount of solar radiation Superman can absorb and how fast. It's what the white solar suit Superboy was in in Cadmus was based on in Young Justice.

I like the comics better. The 4 Supermen had a longer mystery and reveal -4 mysterious figures coming back as Superman. I understand the animation is condensing a lot more stories.

Your right Superman wasn't that weak when he came back from the dead he just wouldn't put the Red and Blue back on because so many imposters were running around in it. In fact I believe after he was revealed as the real Superman he considered sticking with the black suit but then a child asked him if he was going back to the old suit because he missed it. So he put his Red and Blue back on but I believe he kept the long hair for a while.

Watch these films in order, 1st one Justice League flashpoint paradox and last one is Justice League dark apocalypse war

Just think, in the comics, this leads to Hal going insane and wiping out the Green Lantern Corps...

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox (2013) is the begining of this connected animated universe followed by Justice League: War (2014) Son of Batman is the 3rd film.

I really do enjoy this movie and the way it adapted the reign of the Superman storyline I know they did it way better than the original movie Superman Doomsday which was okay but this was far superior and to be honest you're in for a real treat for the final film of the DC animated movie Universe apokolips War which was supposed to be what the Zack Snyder movies were supposed to be

Yeah baby!! I’ve been waiting for this!!

To be honest while people have a lot of contempt for the DC movie Universe The Animated Universe that started with Justice League War was really good and each of them is connected in a small way and a linear storyline and no offense but these new movies I just cannot get into because for one thing while the new article is a nice change I just can't get connected to this character that I have been for many years in the previous universe and I just like the new 52 versions of the characters and their voices as well

The designs are not 90s accurate to the comics, But who cares?, I did enjoy the movie because DC failed to do the live action version when killed off Superman from Batman V Superman because it would have been cool to see the Supermen in live action, Overall great reaction.

This is my favourite animated movie.

I just find it kinda funny why doesn't darksied just travel by space ship with his army to get to earth ? yea it could take awhile but it'd be worth it. ANd Darkseid got beat in Justice League War by the League when they first formed so him using Hank here as a way to get to earth fast I liked it

This Superboy and Young Justice Superboy are the same character. This is how he was actually created in the comics and the show is just a different interpretation

The Death of Superman, The Reign of The Supermen, and Superman’s Return was one of my favorite arcs in in comic book history. These movies are painful to watch. I’ve wish these movies could have taken place in literally any other animated DC universe then the DCAMU. Everything that made these stories Great were abandoned just by the context of this universe. 😢

Dc is trash either way. Superman is a pathetic overrated character. They could have made a green lantern lantern movie, but no we are stuck with these old hobos.
