Regulars Rides: Kiran's Triumph Bonneville T100
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Kiran's Dad took his Mum out on a date one evening, and came home with a motorcycle. Kiran took this as a green light to get his very own bike.
His love for the Triumph Bonneville is clear, we'll let Kiran take you through the modifications himself!

Absolutely love all the concepts that the proud owner describes for the motorbike. May you live and ride long!
What sad person would dislike this? I mean, there's really no reason not to like a high quality video with a guy talking about a bike he loves (not even mentioning it's beautiful here)

I have similar pipes on mine but longer. So cuts back on the header rashness. But I do like the looks of shorter pipes. I tink about cutting down my factory fenders a bit too, but if it didn't turn out perfect, id be peod. The seat is nice but I hate to toss it when still perfect. And it is a 2005. Very nice. I would paint the back chain sprocket flat black. Not sure if you can get it, but Fluid Film spray made with lanolin from sheepskin works well for lubing the chain. You might consider Michelin Commander II tires for a different look and feel, and they last a long time. Avon tires would be more what the Bonnevilles came with in the 50s to 60s, before the 1969 750cc Honda inline 4 started to dominate for sales. Revzilla has a recent video recommending Avon tires.

Great looking bike! I had a 2004 T100 too and loved it. Ended up selling it though because it just seemed to lack a final gear, making any longer stretch on the motorway a pain....a near perfect bike with one important weakness.
@nexov3876
5 жыл бұрын
Yep your right about the final gear, mines mainly used through the city and b-road blasting :)
@danield831
Жыл бұрын
The answer to that problem is to simply purchase a Bonneville T120. I had the same feeling on the highway with the buzzy feeling and wanting that extra gear with my 2016 T100. When I upgraded to the T120 it was an amazing difference without sacrificing looks and performance!
Beautiful and practical.. That's how a Bonnie should sound like (I think) 👍👍👍

Nice - super lean and overall the direction i want to take the resto of my '06 790. Except for the short mufflers (to short and makes a dirty sound that looses the sweet british twin burble, AND the bars are way too narrow with no pull back. But those last items are personal favourites of course. One of the best builds ive seen in my last 14 yrs of Bonneville ownership

Fantastic bike Kiran! I have a 2004 Bonnie currently going through the same evaluation. You've had a few questions on here about your exhausts, which I'm getting you keeping to yourself info on them! 😆 I was wondering how you got around supporting them, did you take a fixing off the centre stand holes?? Superb Bonneville an absolute tragedy they don't make the air cooled 865 anymore. I love my SE with mag wheels what a machine this is motorcycling, if you want love in your life buy a Bonneville
I would just swap the exhaust tip for one that is mandrel Bended. bike is really cool!
Have you noticed any difference in handling with the wider tires?
Great bike. I have a 2008 Efi in the same color. How it is the muffler / pipe thing? Are the original pipes with a muffler on it? Which ones are? Thank you
Love the bike. Does anyone know where in the states you can find those slash cut turn downs that are exapnded?
labor of love!
This is a beautiful job which I am using as inspiration to modify my 2006 Bonnie T100. Question: Are those exhaust tips home made? If so, what sort of material did you use for sound baffling? Thanks in advance! (LE from Washington, DC!)

@@drivingontheedge9391 Thats a very good question regarding the back pressure, personally i haven't noticed any issues with the slash pipes but i did add some baffles which i'm sure would of helped
