Regular Guy VS Fastest Woman

Спорт

Here's a 3d video to analyse the speed difference / comparaison between a normal average regular person, and the fastest woman of the world right now. Elaine Thompson-Herah is a Jamaican sprinter who competes in the 60 metres, 100 metres and 200 metres. Regarded as one of the greatest sprinters of all time, she is a five-time Olympic champion, the fastest woman alive in the 100 m, and the second fastest alive in the 200 m.
#athletics #comparison #speed
Thompson-Herah is the first ever female sprinter, and the second sprinter after Usain Bolt, to win the "sprint double" at consecutive Olympics, capturing 100 m and 200 m gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and defending both titles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. A six-time Olympic medallist, she rose to prominence at the 2015 World Athletics Championships, winning silver in the 200 m and, at the time, becoming the fifth fastest woman in history over the distance. The next year at the Rio Olympics, she became the first woman since Florence Griffith-Joyner in 1988 to win 100 m and 200 m gold at the Olympics.

True, though you'd be shocked by how many average dudes say they could beat a professional female athlete. Best male athlete would obv beat the best female athlete in track, because of a number of factors, but I've seen a lot of non athletic guys overestimate their capabilities. Though tbf, that is anectodal/biased on my part. Perhaps the consensus from the average man counsel is different.

They got the “sprint gene” from their west African ancestors (Jamaica is not in Africa). That’s why a lot of people who are descended from west Africans are often found in sprints in professional track. Obviously genetics is one piece of this entire thing and it takes way more than having that gene to run fast.

You don't need the fastest woman of the world to beat the average guy. Every trained female runner can outperform a male not running person. Age matters, bmi matters, training matters. Gender is last when it comes to running.

You haven't seen those shorts of "Women vs Man" where they compare some average Jane against some fit dude and watch her get destroyed in whatever activity they are doing... Often they have a video of some videos of elite women being compared to elite men. The one I've seen the most is this blonde hair 5 foot woman sprinter being overtaken by a much bigger make sprinter. The woman has like a low 50s 400m sprint and all these guys are dogging women for being slower than a fellow world class male sprinter a mid to upper 40s 400m sprint. The guys on that crap are all like, "women can never compete with men" "when I was a teen I could do better than that" "this is why men and women shouldn't ever compete" and so on...

If you are 20-30 years old and you are under 20% body fat and you go to the gym few times a week or runing on park you maybe run around 15 sec. But if not one of this 99% sure you can't... Yep the fastest females in the world can only be beaten by the fastest males. Its the same at all levels of all sports. And for those wondering, 15 seconds is fair for a healthy adult male. Its waaaaay faster than the vast majority of the population. Anyone thinking average should be 12 seconds has spent too long on PlayStation. Only fast people can cover 100m in 12 seconds. If you did that in "middle school", congratulations you're a fast person even if there was a kid running 11, who is an extremely fast person.

The comparison is legit. Slim young men who do not train specifically for a 100 meter dash usually cover it in a 13-15 sec range. Those who train a lot but are not as gifted as elite athletes rarely break 11 seconds. And well, not even all pro male athletes are capable of running Elaine's best time. Her time is unbelievably fast for a female runner, prob even comprabale with Bolt's 100 m WR in terms of its impact. The world's best female athletes are MUCH MUCH better in their respective sports than average guys. Moreover, the althetes of Elaine Thompson-Herah' calibre sometimes are even better than pro male athletes. It's ALSO true in ultra running, cross-country skiing, marathon running, etc. ps And yes, It's coming from a male and a hard-core runner
