I'm punching axe eyes by hand without a drift just using what I have and I come out with better places eyes than that west German axe started out with. Your bringing that axe back to life

Drilling a hole at each end will help make perfect eyes. Plus it’s less material to punch threw when doing it by hand.

It is a sin against the Axe gods to restore a beautiful Axe and NOT show it in use. Shame. Shame. Shame. 😜

Timothy, That restore turned out good! To bad we couldn't see it in use! How soon before you sell that German saved axe? Thank you for taking time to film, edit and post this video.

That’d be a great wedge banger/utility ax for a wood cutter. I use my ax constantly cutting firewood 👍

Nice job with that ax, Tim. I'm surprised that West Germany put out an ax that was so far off, given Germany's general proclivity to perfection. Great job bringing that one back from the brink!
