Had the 777 for about a year. Takes anything that can be thrown at it well. My favorite servo, so far.

So basically your saying the 777 is more than enough and you don't see any reason to replace it with a new 888?

Just bought it. Waiting for it to show up. Will be running it on 3s. My 777 just went out. I'm pretty sure I stripped out the gears. It will turn slow while rolling. But won't turn under any real load. Plus sounds like hell. It lasted over a year.

The ending was absolutely amazing! 👍 I thought u were gonna try to get it up ON the course! LoL!

That’s an amazing one wheel crawl.. coincidentally I’m also building a rock corse in my back yard with rocks I’ve collected past two years from all over the state’s even got one from Cancun.Mx..I had one rock with cliff like features I built in a way that I can use it as a short cut to other side of a trail bye cliffhanger style crawl it to other side but I use two wheels ..you topped me one wheeler mode nice 👍

They make killer servos for sure, but after trying out NSDRC servo's - i'll never go back just as good for less.

Did you know the owner of NSDRC used to publicly brag online about burning out reefs servos on purpose and sending them back to reefs? I asked him about this and he blocked me swiftly.

Reefs are just rebranded AGFRC servos. I know the manufacturer that NSDRC sources their servos. They make all the highest torque servos on the market. I could care less for the owners. The proof is in the pudding. Go get yourself a power supply and force gauge so you can compare for yourself. Reefs just rapes on their prices for rebranded AGFRC servos.

I wonder how it stacks up against the shv800

I say Joe needs to do a servo showdown and include ProModeler servos. They are badass. Plus made in America. Florida to be exact. I just can’t buy China when higher quality is just down the road.

Just got a shv650 for my new class 3 build, but my C2 is a bit old, and it's still got a bec in it. Been thinking about going all direct power in that one now too. 888 might have to be looked at.

Unrelated question to Reefs 888. Have you had any ripped tread on your JC CONCEPTS Raptures? I have had mine for 2 months now and I have one tire that has probably 6 or more rippes in the tread. Used on my Capra.

Thanks again for your informative posts and reviews. I'm a true lover of Vitavon and Hot Racing. Anything that is professionally machined or hand made are next level parts in my book. I have a little 4 wheel steering Devastator and I truly love the little guy. But now I'm interested in crawling but maybe start with a 1/10th scale as my first build.

The best servos on the market right now are the Holmes Hobby SHV800 and NSDRC RS800 & RS1.

NSDRC doesn't make servos, they just put their names on them like most boutique RC companies. I skip companies like that and buy straight from the source.

The source manufacturers usually only deal in bulk quantities and they have little to no customer service.

Exocaged RC! Hello my name is Tim and I'm extremely interested in RC vehicles. Usually ones with wheels over flight. Anyway I thought your review and test of the triple 8 servo was very good. Next time you should definitely try it on 3S and maybe see if 2S can even make it move properly. Maybe try each voltage and see if it can hit that .09sec speed!

Ill take overkill for 800 alex.
