Have a look at the price of the Red Monstro and Red Helium that this footage is shot on and you get an idea of why the quality far surpasses most 4k content on youtube :)

It looks so unbelievably good that I thought the forest shots were CGI

Yea, exactly, I was thinking the same thing. I think it is because the shadows were pulled up so high and so was the saturation, makes it look impossible

It is so magical driving the US-199 Redwood Hwy as you get closer to redwood forests. The forest becoming denser, the trees towering higher and higher above, and that smell of fresh air, nothing quite like it. You know in your heart you have entered a land of giants.
