The appreciation level when viewing this amazing 4k footge cannot be explained highly enough to those who didn't grow up during the 1950s and onward. Being 68 now, I remember my family's old Zenith b&w square TV with the two large dials on the top front left and right sides and the fabric screen covering the speaker on the bottom front. Not to mention the rabbit ears antenna on top to pull in the best picture quality possible. That was during the early to mid 1960s. Finally, we were able to afford our first color TV, an RCA, in 1968. All the while, even though the excitement of seeing television programs in color was one of life's biggest joys, picture quality was still nothing to write home about (though no one ever gave that a thought then). Now, 6 decades on, 4k technology brings images such as this Costa Rica video so much realism, they seem as though they could pop right off my screen! My appreciation for this technology is off the wall!

I'm just here for testing screen but this provokes me some feelings nostalgic. Even though I've never been to Costa Rica.

First you are amazed when you finally move from 720 to 1080 and your double amazed when you upgrade and see it 1440 in 60fps Then you finally get 4k and your like I FEEL LIKE THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SEEING THIS. And you've been coming here for 5 years and it's 2024 still frick'n amazing!

Who else came here after they realised that their Android phones can now support 4k HDR playback EDIT: 🤯🤯🤯 this comment blew up! Thank you all for 1000 likes!! Never imagined getting these many! Also many people are confused about what 4k actually means. It's 2160p. 1440p is 2k.

@@adriyantrans145 120fps don't even exist for 480p videos 🤣😂 phone companies only use camera which can record 1080 and higher video resolution at 60fps that's it. Instead of making lower video quality better like giving 360p in 60fps that will smooth the video so much

There are four types of people who watch this video: 1.) To test their new displays. 2.) To test their internet connection for 4K60fps. 3.) To admire Costa Rica as the video intended. 4.) To use as a background/screen saver. I'm on the second option - I watch this video as troubleshooting for my wifi if it's doing okay or not.

IM&KR same with iPad air (3.Gen.) and iPhone 11. I‘m surprised that it doesn’t work any more, because in iOS 14 Beta 8 it did work. It’s disappointing 😕

Flexi In these types of videos that are both hdr and upto 4k resolution are working on my iphone but videos that are not hdr are maxed out at 1080p. I hope youtube fixes this soon 🤞
