Definitely. I hadn't looked at the standings in like three days, and I'm thinking, how in the world do the Phillies have 26 wins to the Braves 21 wins? Where did that come from? It's like someone tacked on a few more wins for them.

@@willp.8120They’re playing a cupcake schedule right now but I’m not going to say much because the Phillies are definitely getting it done, if the Braves were playing the same schedule as Phillies right now they would still be struggling. Back earlier the loss to the White Sox was a red flag as to what was about to happen, but hopefully they can right the ship before it’s too late.

There's a psychological block going on with Olson, Acuna, and Harris. Arcia is lackluster. Riley has had a slump but has improved as of late. Ozuna has cooled off. D'arnaud and Kelnick are the only ones hitting well the past couple weeks.

Notes from the Game: - Reynaldo Lopez Ran Out of Gas in the 6th, but otherwise persevered through a Bumpy Start. His Final Line? 5 1/3 Innings of 2-Run (1 Earned), 6-Hit Ball, Walking 4 and Striking Out 5 in a No-Decision. Despite this, he remains at 2-1, but his ERA stands in at 1.53. + Credit to the Bullpen for Holding the Line! Bummer, Chavez, Jimenez, and Iglesias combined to FINISH the Final 3 2/3 Innings, allowing just 2 Hits and 2 Walks while Striking Out 4! Joe Jimenez gets the Win, Allowing a Walk and a Fielding Error, but Neutralizing the Threat while Striking Out 1 in the 8th, improving to 1-0 with an ERA of 1.80. Iglesias gets his 9th Save of the Season, Pitching a PERFECT 9TH while Striking Out 1! ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 2 Runs (1 Earned), 8 Hits, 6 Walks, 9 Strike Outs, NO Home Runs Allowed! Despite a 1-4 Night with Runners in Scoring Position, the Braves' Offense Mustered JUST ENOUGH to get the Win! + JARRED KELENIC WITH AN EXCELLENT NIGHT! 2-2 with a Single and a TWO-RUN SUPER MISSILE INTO THE CHOP HOUSE! Kelenic steps up to a .280 Average, .706 OPS, and 1 Home Run on the Season! + THE BIG BEAR WITH THE CRITICAL HIT! 1-3 with a Walk and the Go-Ahead, GAME-DECISIVE RBI Single in the 8th! Ozuna Stands in with a .306 Average, .983 OPS, and a LEAGUE-LEADING 34 RBIs on the Season! + Arcia's still in a bit of a Funk, but he found a way to Contribute Tonight! 0-4 with a CRUCIAL RBI Fielder's Choice in the 8th! Arcia holds onto a .262 Average with an OPS of .678! + OTHER NOTABLES: Austin Riley had a 2-4 Night, While Olson and Acuna Both Managed to earn 1 Hit Tonight. Ozzie Albies had 2 Walks on the Night Despite going 0-2, and Adam Duvall walked in his ONLY AB off the Bench, meaning the ONLY Brave to not get on base was Michael Harris II, who went 0-4. + MY LORD, DID WE NEED THIS WIN! After Getting SLAPPED AROUND in Seattle and L.A., the Braves Return to Truist Park and GET A WIN THAT WAS NOT EASY TO EARN! Lopez Persevered, the Bullpen was EXCELLENT, the Offense Came through when it Mattered, and Despite 2 Errors, the Game never got Completely Out of Hand. Things aren't great right now in Braves Country... But getting back on track with the Basics is the best way to start things back up! - As much as I don't like looking at the Standings, there's no denying it... For the First time in what feels like a LONG WHILE, the Braves have an VILE Opponent to Chase in the Division... and it's the Phillies. Their DOMINATION of the Blue Jays keeps up 3 Games Behind Philly, while the other Teams are doing what they can to catch us. We've been the Hunted for the Last 2 Seasons... But that doesn't mean we'll stop Fighting! TOMORROW: THE SECOND AND FINAL ROUND of this Two-Game Showdown between the Red Sox and Braves will take place under the Evening Skies of Truist Park. Former Philly Nick Pivetta stands in the way of a Needed Bounceback Sweep, who is coming off a GREAT START against the A's, SHUTTING DOWN Oakland over 5 Innings, Allowing just 5 Hits and 1 Walk and earning the Win. Meanwhile, CHRIS SALE will take aim against his FORMER TEAM, taking up Battle Stations for the Braves in a CRITICAL GAME early into the Season. Sale looks to build on a Winning Effort against the Mariners, in which he allowed 1 Run on 6 Hits, Walking 1 and Striking Out 9. Can SALE and the Braves earn a NEEDED Sweep to get back on track? Or will Pivetta and the Red Sox Spoil a Short Homestand for the Tomahawk Chop? We will find out at 7:20 P.M. EDT on NESN (Red Sox) and Bally Sports South (Braves)! SoundFX09, Signing Out!
