There is trouble out at the Barton Ranch. Carson and his men want to buy out Barton and his wife but aim to take over the ranch, by force if necessary. The situation calls for Red Ryder to come to their aid.
Reed Hadley was born in Petrolia, Texas in 1911 to Bert Herring, an oil well driller, and his wife Minnie. He was, however, reared in Buffalo, New York. Before moving to Hollywood, he acted in Hamlet on stage in New York City, a last-minute substitute for the scheduled actor who failed to appear to portray Fortinbras.
In the 1950s, Hadley played Chad Remington on radio in Frontier Town. He also was one of the actors who portrayed cowboy hero Red Ryder on the Red Ryder radio series during the 1940s and appeared on Tales of the Texas Rangers on radio.
Hadley went on to star and guest star on six television series including Wagon Train. His 35-year film career included such movies as Highway Dragnet and The Half-Breed. He also narrated several documentaries throughout his career till his death from a heart attack in 1964.

Reed Hadley was a very competent actor in both radio and television/movies. In this radio episode of "Red Ryder," Reed Hadley and a good supporting cast do well in this fine western dramatization. Listening to this episode reminded me of "Straight Arrow" and Sergeant Preston of the Yukon and his dog King ("Challenge of the Yukon") - would you be interested on adding the latter two radio dramas to your versatile offerings?

Walter - There is one episode of Straight Arrow on Radio Westerns as of now. I would definitely consider that and Sgt. Preston for the future. Meanwhile two more series and more Tarzan (1950s) are coming your way shortly and then it might be a bit of a corona wait till Cousin Tipper and I can obtain and load a few other series, such as Molle Mystery Theatre, The Whistler, Tarzan - circa the 1930s, Inner Sanctum, The Fat Man, and Frontier Town, but all are on the way. Stay tuned!

@@Tsnore I know it takes time to upload new episodes in light of you and Tippersnore adding photos/drawings to complement the audio. At one time I had in my collections Sergeant Preston, which I obtained from Radio Spirits. I gave all my collection to one of my brother-in-laws when he became incapacitated.
