Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle Radio Series: The End of the World
Starring: Lamont Johnson
Tarzan saves the Reverend Thaddeus Martin from an attack by a rogue elephant. Reverend Martin tells Tarzan that he is on his way to the village of the Nagalas who are being robbed by a magician/sorcerer who has them believing that the world is about to end. As he is performing a trick, the magician renders Tarzan temporarily blind and then chains him up. The rogue elephant, still in the area, charges the native compound, wreaking havoc, which allows Tarzan to break free. Tarzan then kills the elephant with his knife, saving the Nagalas and simultaneously putting an end to their apocalyptic beliefs.

The voice actors and the narrator do so well in their respective roles. The well written scripts are both interesting and intelligent.

I agree Walter. At first, I was a bit skeptical, but this series is surprisingly good. I also love Lamont Johnson's voice and accent.

@@Tsnore Today, May 07, 2020, on the Game Show Network's "Master Minds," with Brooke Burns as hostess, one of the questions given to contestants was something like "who was the character in Edgar Rice Burroughs' stories who gave a yell?" The correct answer for anyone listening to these Tarzan episodes, was, of course, Tarzan.
