@ebbisnar8616 And not only that, but it's safe to say Dent thinks that with mercy, he'd be putting Jason out of his misery by killing him, freeing him of the self-guilt he harbors, as well as the fear and possible vitriol the others hold towards him.

Worse than what the Joker did to him

This one hits hard for a few reasons. Sure, we could easily debate the angle on Jason's vengeance, but let's talk about the big factor that had as much impact as the Joker in this interactive movie: Two-Face. Why him? Well, the parallels: 1. Both had a troubled home life, their troubles stemming from their fathers. This would lead to certain issues that would become apparent later on (Harvey suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder, and Jason recurring to a life of crime.). 2. Both got considerable help from meeting Bruce (Harvey being buddy-buddy with Bruce while he would have a bond of mutual help with Batman. Jason? A warm home and tutelage under the bat, which in this continuity leads to the two taking things on together here.). 3. A major accident derailed them, making them resort to less than good tendencies (Harvey becoming Two-Face after the accident, and Jason becoming Red Robin. The first resorts to a coin toss, the second gives no exception to criminals, not even when they're already arrested.) 4. It's safe to say Dent knows Batman's secret identity, the same being a guarantee for Jason. With this in mind, it explains why Harvey turns out to be a surprisingly valid angle on judgement. Not Dick, not Barbara nor Gordon, just the guy who went through similar incidents and lost themselves in the process. As for defying the coin, we could easily take it as mercy or punishment. Since death is what scares most, we usually associate the outcome of 'Tails' as death. Here? Heads is death to save Jason the torment. As for Tails, well... now he has to spend every day knowing he failed Bruce, resorting to vengeance and ultimately put in a place where he could've died were the person with the gun not Harvey, or if nothing occurred in the other scenario. Bruce's goal, despite the no-killing thing (discussions about the system, yadda yadda), is to make sure his kids are well... and Jason almost lost his life. With this as a wake-up call, it not only serves to give Two-Face some love but also makes Todd feel a sense of shame, now remembering what Bruce said to make himself a better individual. Will he pave his own way without brutality in an age without the Joker? Will he take up a standard office job? Will he make sure the next generation becomes better than he or Bruce ever were? Who knows, but I do thank you all for reading this.

That's one of the only times where Two-Face straight up "disobeys" his coin, right?

There was this one time where he chose to let batman live when the coin said to kill him in the comics i think. Arkham had taken his coin from him and he turned into a catatonic mess for months unable to make any decisions, batman was surrounded by rouges but they decoded to let harvey decide if they’d let him go or not out of amusement (Joker thought he’d be too far gone for the coin to matter) but He lied and said the coin was on its life side for batman.

Harvey didnt disobey the coin he did exactly as the coin said the burnt side means the worst ending for his victim normally thats death but harvey saw that the worst ending for jason was life

Why does it feel like Two-Face is projecting his feelings about himself towards Jason.

Well... they're both somewhat alike: - Both had low-life fathers. - Both got along with both sides of Bruce/The Batman, whether they knew his secret or not. - Both lose it and become somewhat murderous. All in all, it's save to say Dent knew about Jason enough to say that anything he did to him would be mercy, and how he would have to live knowing that despite being 'perfect' in his own eyes, he failed the man who tried to help him and avoid being the hell-bent vigilante Bruce could've been.

Jason is my favorite member of the bat family but I think Dick should be the next Batman, in a lot of ways I think his a better Batman than Bruce.

Because DC loves to pin the blame on Jason. That’s why there’s so much animosity between Jason and the Batfamily (excluding Alfred). Bruce and the rest of the Batfam could never accept Jason’s trauma. Which is why they failed him so many times. Jason wants to mend their relationships but all the Batfamily does is put up rules and expectations. It’s all so one-sided.

It’s his inconsistent idiot writers that paint him as a deranged psychopath and who haven’t the slightest clue what the definition of character personality is. The same stupid writers who think that the fans are dumb and will accept everything they write as good material. The Jason in Under The Hood and Lost Days is the Jason that this fandom grew to love. Its because of Judd Winick that Jason has a consistent personality at all and he is the only writer who can handle his character and keep the character development coming. But then that freaky ass Battle for the Cowl arc happened and the whole story was so out of character for Jason that it was basically character assassination. Hence why no one takes writers other than Judd Winick and also Scott Lobdell seriously for Jason Todd and why the fans don’t buy the bullshit that they sometimes write for Jason’s stories.

this movie was to show no matter what happend to Jason that night if he survived if Bruce sacrificed himself if Jason died no matter what happend Jason would always get a bad ending no matter what path he took he would always end up with a bad ending he would always end up with regret guilt and sadness Jason's destiny in every timeline is too get the bad ending it's his destiny to be Batman's greatest failure and nobody and nothing can change his destiny.
