I was so happy to see you process this in a water bath, which is the approved way to do it safely. Kelsey did not on her show, and it sent shivers down my spine thinking how many people that could affect. And yeah, I know every one who processes the outdated inversion method does not become ill and/or die, but there are published reasons for processing the way YOU did it. I applaud you. Can hardly wait to make some of this myself.

Troy Ann Thanks Troy Ann... it really is easy to make jelly... remember if you make more then use full pack of sure jell :)
Tip: Lay a chopstick across the top of the pot to stop if from boiling over. The bubbles will break when they hit the chopstick. Might need two...
Thanks
looks yummy!!! I might make this for dessert!!!

Enjoyed the video. Unfortunately, there are no red peppers in my area and I don't have canning equipment. Love red pepper jelly, though!!! Thanks again..
Good base for this sauce/jelly ie cider vinegar & sugar. Good for ham too...just add raisins and a touch of demi glaze if available.
Now who would happened to have a sausage and biscuit laying around? Lol. Great video sir.

Can you use dried peppers? I made your recipe with fresh ones and it was incredibly good! I have the same peppers still but dried. Can I use them or should I go buy fresh ones? Thanks!
I made this yesterday. It was so good I am making more today! Thanks for the recipe! And I loved how you said "boiling water." It put a huge smile on my face.
Why get rid of the hot juice? Wouldn't it make more flavorful and spicy jelly?

Georgette Swartz I am going to make this also, I'm just wondering how much pectin you used? He says half of a 9 oz package which I can't find anywhere. All I can find is 1.75 oz. Do I use half of that package or many packages to make 4.5 oz?
Best accent. :D
Can you use juice as part of liquid?
Imagine making jelly filled donuts with this
Nice !!

Yum! I do use ripe jalapeno's and red bells. I like the ripe flavor better and the color. I don't drain the pepper juice away though. I'm curious to know why you do if you know since you got the recipe from someone? Not that it matters cuz it works both ways obviously. If I was a cat I'd done be dead from that curiosity thing a long time ago! hahahaha
How you call the white powder you Putin in

You said a 9oz. package of Sure Jell? Did I hear that right? And where would you find that? Every Sure Jell package I see is 1.75oz. Otherwise you made a very nice video. Good job!

I think he just left off the decimal point. Where it says Sure Gel 4/15 oz, should read Sure Gel 4/1.5 oz. Hugs!
