She's the drummer for her family's band. Mom sings and plays guitar, dad plays bass, her brother plays rhythm guitar and of course, Yoyoka on drums. She has a lot of creative freedom.

These little living room and garage videos that she puts out are so much more fun than the ones where she's performing in public. In these there's no pressure on her. All she needs to do is have fun and bang on those drums, and it's easy to see there's nothing in the world that she'd rather be doing than just that. And that infectious grin and the trademark drumstick good-bye wave are too precious for words. She's the Angelina Jordan of drums. My favorites of hers are her Led Zeppelin covers. Nobody does those better than Yoyoka. Thanks for coming back to her.

She's been performing live on stage since she was six, has played hundreds of live gigs in front of thousands of people. I believe she has said that she was only nervous once. I think it was for one of her Ellen shows. She just doesn't feel the pressure no matter where she's at. See my comment above... she just signed management contract with one of the largest management companies in Japan for worldwide performances.

Just so you know, Yoyoka is a professional musician from Hokkaido, Japan. She has been playing on a professional level for five years. She tours Japan with her family. They do weddings, bars, events, etc. She is also a session musician performing with major rock bands touring through Japan. Yoyoka has played in the US. She has been in a number of increasing commercials. She has written and choreographed theme songs for Japanese TV shows. She has cut three albums and is working on her fourth album. She writes and sings her own songs. This video reflects all the work she has put in becoming the musician which she is. Living on the road, out of a suitcase, the thankless gigs which no one ever knows about. kzread.info/dash/bejne/i3qEppp7er2cmbg.html This was the what really got her noticed on an international level when she was eight. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lmydu7CTlbCzipM.html Then she received some more recognition, kzread.info/dash/bejne/k5uLmK6pesvOZpM.html At eight she was playing in concerts with the best rock musicians in Japan. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pHiqw5OKh5a8c6Q.html Then she was on TV, playing live to millions of people. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pHiqw5OKh5a8c6Q.html Then she goes on to get a female entertainer of the year award and back to the US. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pHiqw5OKh5a8c6Q.html Also note in her appearance here, she is wearing moncler clothing so the cash register is ringing for her every time she walks on stage. www.moncler.com/jp/monclernow/genius-is-born-crazy/ kzread.info/dash/bejne/nX-F16lpobvPnrQ.html On stage with Cyndi Lauper in Tokyo kzread.info/dash/bejne/hmmcss17ZqeTobg.html Back to the TGC kzread.info/dash/bejne/n6Vq2sGIerSqqM4.html Poor video but on stage playing with fall out boy kzread.info/dash/bejne/ind5l7lqZtSeiJM.html She was at the NAMM 2020 and stole the show. She was at the pearl booth and there as an ambassador for HLAG and stole the show. Every major musician and drummer came by the booth to meet her and have their picture taken with her. If you go through this website, you can see what she is up to and where she has played at and who she has played with along with upcoming events. You will readily see that this is not just a little girl playing drums in her house. What she posts on youtube is different from her professional work, she keeps it separate. She also provides lessons on her youtube channel. This one is in Japanese but with English subs. kzread.info/dash/bejne/a4Suw4-RZqvXqpc.html kaneai.jimdofree.com/ Go through her social media pages and you will begin to get the idea. facebook.com/kaneaiyoyoka/ instagram.com/yoyoka_drums/?hl=en Yoyoka recently performed at a major gig in Japan a few weeks ago and the bass player had to be replaced on short noticed. The replacement bass player was Juna Serita. So, they are now talking about what you were talking about where she is playing in more of a high profile band. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mJ2BmbysnsisZpc.html There could be another wild card thrown into the mix. Like I said, Yoyoka is a professional musician. She is not just a drummer, but a singer as well. She is in the same dilema of a Don Henley or Dave Ghrol with respect to sitting on the drum throne and trying to sing. So is the wildcard, someone like Senri Kawaguchi on drums with Yoyoka on front stage singing? kzread.info/dash/bejne/mZ-It86xYa7NppM.html And this young man on guitar. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hYmJlo-wZbqdqrg.html I don't need to tell you where this would go if they put it all together. But with all her talents, watch this video and you will clearly see that she is still a child. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJOdr9Spipa8qso.html Since you asked, hope this gives you a little insight into who Yoyoka is.

YOyoka is incredible, shes definitely a gift, kids can play but never like her, adults dont even play like her. shes just a new one of Nirvana OMG, you need to watch it, she hits hard and has that vibe like GRohl has is crazy,, then shes done another video same song but completely covered from scratch with 2 guys and another girl all adults.. the other girl is drumming too, and you can see the comparisent its literally like a rockstar vs a average human being lol... as for music, when it comes to ROck guitar rock n roll the WEST invented it came right from black blues music to rock n roll, anyone into playing in bands regardless of nationality are into BRitish and AMerican bands theres no escaping it.. i think since theres incredible bands from JApan China hong kong too but they are all inspired by western bands the beatles, radiohead, nirvana, metalica led zeppplin.. list is endless.. music in 100% a global language.. you can listen to songs you dont understand the language too and it still hits the spot... her favourite band is rage against the machine and led zeplin i think.... rage against the machine hahahaahhaha.. her mum and dad are musicians so shes expose to it, my dad is chinese he played in a band with his brothers and sisters all can play and heavily inspried byt the beatles.. and my dad played guitar it done something to me, and i just had to learn and i started in the 90s from the UK Oasis era, and the beatles ect,, nothing beats the organic real music anolog music... its a shame in the west bands and guitar music is dying, but in asia japan china and all of east asia, everything is still piano or guitar led real music.. theres still alot going on over there, the west have an obsession with sound and the teenagers are the ones that buy music and its all kinda like a fashion or trend... in asia couples still love concerts cinema and its the adults that appreciate music, so they dont have much junk in the charts aimed at kids and teens.. which is why when i listen to music now i DO NOT listen to Western UK US chart music, its all electronic... even the country music in America now has turned crappy, the sound is awful... its a shame, but guess its signs of the times.. think guitar music died officially after the indie scene on 2000s the myspace era.. pretty incredible era, where emos waas the trend, and indie alternative cool kids.. there was bands everywhere... i know this comment is long and kinda off topic lol but one YOYOKA is amazing, 2 we are in lockdown, and 3 I LOVE MUSIC, and miss playing in bands nothign beats it.

ya i dont think she should get in a band with other kids, they arent on her level theyll ruin her carreer and image, she plays with adults, and should continue to do so i think until shes old enough then if bands are still relevant then shell easily make it, if not,, she easily could be a session musician playing for top artists. she got on stage with fall out boy, and played live, the literally said they went through the song once with nothing plugged in and she completely nailed it, never missed a beat.
