Exactly. From a standing start he beats 3 defenders to get his shot off uncontested (successfully anyhoo!) and what a shot it was! A screamer top shelf, where mama hides the cookies! Too much power and placement for the keeper to keep out despite getting some glove on it. A moment of pure class by Mendy.

Lads are fantastic today ! What a match. Top top performance. That goal by Mendy was phenomenal 🎉

Mark Griffiths is so missed in these highlights. It's amazing how lucky Wrexham is to have him when listening to other announcers, including those at the top of the Premier League.

I think Phil Parkinson takes big credit for this. He clearly knows how to put together a side and get them to play good football, and that's only amplified by the resources they have to work with.

Not a bad day for Wrexham. Hitting 6 without reply, while Stockport, Nott’s County and Mansfield all lost.

Gotta say , Wrexham really know how to bounce back from a loss. They have had 3 losses but large unbeaten runs between them all. The Stockport loss seems to have done them some good, hopefully the accy one will too

I'm a hibernian fc fan from Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 but honestly since Wrexham got promoted & the deliverance of passion and the goals they are scoring im definitely a fan of there's aswell, another 3 or 4 seasons give or take and they should reach the EPFL Personally I think mullin would be an epic fit for hibernian

As good as they are, there's still levels to this game. Tactics and defense are at a different level in the Premier League. Not saying that they can't rise to the challenge, but it's naive to think they'll just run through defenses as they do in League 2. They're probably Championship (Tier 2) level though.

Morecambe were not very wise today

Wrexam needs to try and sign that goalkeeper. He's gonna be a monster in 2-3 seasons when he gets experience. But I doubt he will want to play low league football permanently.

@@perkhz7092 You're right about that, he won't play anywhere else as mistakes he makes (drops the ball after a straight shoot at him) are obvious. He will probably try to go higher league and be a forever a substitute player. For his sake, I do hope I'm wrong.

That is some rubble left from the demolition of the stand, called the Kop that is going to be rebuilt after some planning issue is resolved.

Can you teach your commentators about past participles in the present perfect tense, please? Twice he said "It might have took a deflection". It's 'taken', not 'took'. It's bad enough hearing ex-footballers butchering the language.

Depends if the word 'have' is considered to have converted the sentence to a continuous or if it's linked to the word before it. I'm thinking.. 1. It could've fell, dented the bonnet, then melted away. 2. It could've had fallen into the hole by now. Of course, I might have had it mistaken this whole time. Or I might have mistook it for something else. Hm
