@@dennis.7501 you must be playing the ps4 version of the game. That version actually does have blurry textures and low resolution foliage. Not the pc version tho, I have both and it’s like a totally different game. And if you’re on pc try playing with settings higher than low 😂

Best game ever created. Wish I could play it again for the first time. Beautiful experience.

I've never played a game where I have aimlessly roamed around so much and actually had fun doing it. It makes me so sad that it'll probably be another seven years before we get another RDR if we get one at all.

@@Ep1cMeDiC0rE he didnt mean AI building the game by itself obviously. It would just assist the Rockstar devs by doing things such as correct imperfections, add random side missions and world occurrences, and make the graphics look almost real, amongst other things.

Since Dan Houser has officially left Rockstar, I think the Red Dead Franchise has ended as we know it. It ended on the best note possible, but any new release will not have the spirit of the same. It will be its own new thread, and quite frankly you already know what to expect when a company like Rockstar takes over what was essentially a passion project from a very wealthy man at the top keeping it going. Rockstar would have killed RDR2, or severely restricted its development if not for the House brothers at the heart of it keeping it going. It only took a year of him leaving for RDO support to die out. Had he not left, that would have never happened.

If you're gonna show this to your grandma, she will never believe that's a game.

Whenever I play an open world game I always turn off the cinematic music because the scenes should always be impactful even without it, but RDR2 is one of those games where I never turn off the music that plays.

congrats to the cameraman and the hiker. they both did perfect out there. especially cameraman wasn't even shaking the caamera whatever happens

I'm currently on my 2nd playthrough of this game. Never fully finished it first time around when it came out. I just cannot see this game being topped for a long time. Its simply a masterpiece of game development. The amount of random interactions that can just happen out of nowhere. The breathtaking visuals and sound design. The beautiful and emotional story line of the last remaining cowboys as the world moves into a new generation. Everything is so perfect and fun to play. And here we are years later and it still holds up I think that's a true testament to a good game. That it can still hold up to modern games even on a new generation of consoles.

All of the subtle details; the birds flying in the background, the sound of the wind...in addition to the amazing graphics, there's so much going on that makes this feel so real.

The thing that always fascinated me about rdr2 is the incredible distance rendering and LODS, thats what polishes the visuals more than anything like at 5:32

One thing people overlook either in games or movies is....the position of the sun in seasonal shots. Remember, autumn, = really long shadows guys ! And even longer shadows in winter. The sun is not over head.

This looks amazing! It kinda makes me sad to think that we might never get to play another Red Dead game before the year 2050 or something.

the mission where you're in a boat in the swamps looking for someone left me completely speechless, super foggy and really bright moon, the visuals and music were insane, the vibes i was getting were super spooky, i played that exact mission the day of Halloween so everything was just right 🤣 i will never forget that day and that mission lol

This is one of all the games that have everything, history, graphics, sounds and gameplay.

John was always cold. But after the gangs break up he becomes this tank of a human. Alone and cold blooded trying to protect his family.

The visuals and sounds are just a piece of art but the gameplay is something out of this world too! When you touch the controller you fell that you are the character, it's so alive! Unreal Engine 5 is just beautiful and amazing on every possible level but let's appreciate Rage and everything Rockstar has done.

I didn't even realised It's been almost 5 years since this masterpiece came out 😢.

Agreed. With or without mods best game I've ever played.

This game is in a league of its own. They truly created a living, breathing world. The near perfect graphics only is only the finishing touches on the illusion that we're really living inside their world.

excellent work, I have seen many youtubers uploading their modded gameplays, yet their videos were always over-saturated, which made it painful to watch. By contrast, the color of your videos is on point without oversaturation and it contributes to the Red Dead vibes, I dig it.

Battlefield 1 is one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen. Battlefield 5 or 2042 are nowhere near as good as bf 1. It is so beautiful and well optimized. For example my 1660 ti runs it at max settings at more than 100 fps. I wish I had a better gpu to max it out on 4k. Red dead and bf 1 are one of the best games ever created and probably that will ever be created

This is what RDR3 will be, but unfortunately will be downgraded. RDR2 was downgraded on current gen and even with downgrade had fps issues. If they waited little more and improved the game till PS5 and XSX came out, then we'd probably get close as this graphics & textures. Plus the color was supposed to be like this in original, as what they showcased in 1st trailer.

The realism of this game with an rtx 4090 certainly surpasses the graphical looks of UE5

You could honestly make an entire series of games with different characters & stories just using the RDR2 map
