Yes it could become an heirloom if stored properly. Can you just imagine this on your grandchild's front door? lol just a funny thought,I have an odd sense of humour, can you see yourself looking at this in 50 years time and saying the soda bottles were made to last in the olden days, much longer than the cars of the same era ever did . xx

Miriam Joy, I love your tutorials and creative ideas for recycling. I just discovered your channel and really enjoyed the dome Christmas project. The finished project is stunning. The only thing that I would do different is to use a funnel to pour the snow, otherwise I would have it everywhere. Thanks for the great tutorials crafty lady.

Thank you for the suggestion. That is always welcome. I can also learn new things but with the snow it sticks to the sides and does not go down the funnel.

Miriamjoy123 I thought it was cute as hell. I'm an avid crafter and know I can't talk and work at the same time .. a big kudos to you for being able to. I thought when I heard it.. now that's something I would do! and got a good chuckle from it. Thanks for taking that in the good fun humor it was intended to be. I love your videos and how fantastically creative you are.

Miriamjoy123 I would love to see a bloopers compilation! How much fun would one of those be? Some of the funniest times I can remember are my own life bloopers and aren't all our lives filled with those? lol You're right. Being able to laugh at ourselves brings such joy and ease into life. I helped my niece with a science project for school once. The day she was to show her project I was both huffed about it and terrified of being in front of her classmates. My "job" was to light a burner thing using a mini torch. Which I did just fine. What I forgot to do was turn the torch off when I sat it down. The one we'd practiced with went out when you took your finger off the button. Anyway, I torched her 3 sided display poster! Of course me not having any kids at home and not used to tempering my verbiage hollered " Oh shit.. oh f**k.. fireeeeee!" My niece looked at me horrified.. not because of the fire but because of my language. Ahem, it was a little fire of course the teacher rushed over and put out with a bottle of water we had sitting there. I was hopping all over the place in a panic. My sister was filming the .. ahem.. event. Of course she was filming it and dying of laughter the entire time. Now we have a forever version on dvd. But it's so funny. Now each time any of us has something we have to do in public and are feeling nervous.. that video is played.. look, whats the worst that could happen? right! hahahaha

So pretty! I was just wondering.. on all these can we use the plastic milk jugs or water jugs to make these crafts? We don't buy soda in the large plastic bottles only the small bottles or cans and I drink a lot of water by the gallon and always trying to find a way to reuse the jugs!

+Southern Angel Btq. Tammy Dameron (Southern Angels Boutique) You can use what ever you like. The milk jugs with the cloudy color will not give you the shinny leaves. I always say try it and see.

Hi! Love your tutorial.Want to share it in my recycling page facebook.com/reciclemostodos/ but was wondering what I could replace the flower ring with, as it is not easy to find where I live. Any suggestions, please? Could I maybe use thicker cardboard? Thank you so much.

I would say a thinker cardboard or two cardboard's glued together. Do you have straw wreaths? That would work. Also the foam insulators that are pipe insulators that you find in the hardware store that is a grey round tube. You can make it into a wreath and tape it together. Let me know if I can help anymore. You could twist sheets of newspaper up together to form a kind of rope then overlap the ends and join them together with masking tape to make a circle. Glue it onto a cardboard ring, paint the whole thing green, glue on the leaves, making sure they overlap and attach the bow. My kids and I made a paper and card wreath because we couldn't afford a real one. We cut out leaf shapes from plain green shiny wrapping paper and glossy card, not plastic as shown above, glued them all over the front and sides of the newspaper ring form. Then we added some baubles, tinsel and bead garland and our paper wreath looked very nice too. We made a new wreath every year from whatever christmassy scraps and decorations had ended up damaged when taken down after the previous Christmas. Result: entertained kids learning to use their imaginations, how to recycle and why, and a different, totally unique wreath every year. Hope this helps.
