I have heard you should bleach them first so they don’t mold. Is that necessary?
I use the ones that they make tamales with and it is not necessary but if you used ones that were not prepared first, that would be a good idea. It would also help with your color. The husk is yellow in color. That makes colors like blue turn green.
Your wreath are pretty
Hi. Really enjoy your work and love your teaching method. Question. Are any of your vases waterproof. Can they be used for live flowers?
Hi Roberta, Thank you for the question. They are not waterproof. I prefer to set a waterproof vase or container in the guard. With that said, you can use Flex Seal. The spray-on rubber sealer they advertise on TV. I would do that before you decorate the gourd and make sure it is waterproof. Hope this helps. Miriam joy
You are an amazing artist. Thank you for your quick and helpful response. I so love your videos and am reinspired each time I watch them. Be well.

Hi Miriam. I would like to ask you if you give the gourd a base to cover the pores before applying the alcohol inks. Thank you very much.
I normally do not but with that said, it does help to even out the porous of the gourd. Also if you want bright colors a base with gesso or white acrylic paint is good to start with.
Thanks for answering me. I would like to know why you have such bright colors on the gourd if you don't give it a previous base.
@@lacasademaderadeTximi You can still have bright colors. Just remember that the gourd is yellow and you have to adjust. This means if you use a blue alohol ink on a gourd you might get more of a green color. There is nothing wrong with doing it straight on the gourd. I love alcohol inks. They have a life on their own. You can also use the alcohol ink white color first and then your other colors. Do not be afraid to apply the color again if you want more color. Hope this helps.
Thank you.
YOu are so welcome
Lastima no entiendo ingles. Buen trabajo
Thank you for the video! In your plastic container with the vinegar is it clean water or is it water from your pot?
It is clean water to start with.
awesome cute
Thanks for the video
What conditioner do you use?
I normally do not use a conditioner.
I've got about 6 gourds with really bad surfaces...now I have a solution!
Good. It was one of my favorite methods.
Hello what’s the name of these beads
May I ask what finish you use to protect your gourd when your done?
Thank you for the question. It depends on what type of method I used to dye or color the gourd. I usually spray varnish but if the color is steadfast you can also use brush on varnish. There is a video to show you how I spray varnish. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJqHlLqNnZXTqrw.html Please let me know if you have more questions. God Bless, Miriam Joy

Hi Miriam, I was wondering how you were doing. I still have my Peacock gourd. I love it💙🩵💜
I am so glad you still have it. Still one of my favorites. I am good. We moved into town so I have started doing some painting classes. facebook.com/profile.php?id=61551494810042 Like Paint and Sip but without the alcohol. We got to travel for 4 years and saw a lot of the United States with my art and classes. It was so good to hear from you. Great to hear from you!!!

Hello, how long does it take for one of these glass eggs with modge podge to dry???? Thanks for the great tutorial and for all your help!!!!
It should be dry about in a day. It depends on a lot of factors. How warm it is. How humid it is, how thick your string is, and how much you put on.
Can’t wait to try this. It looks like yours turned out great and I have glycerin too.
Glad I could help.
I’m having problems understanding you. Sound is garbled.
Beautiful so handy to know 😊 thank you
I enjoyed making a pair. I'm going to make a couple and gift them to family members in thanks if thanksgiving.🦃
I am so glad you did. Happy THanksgiving and Merry Christmas.
How do you clean the inside of the Gord's out?
kzread.info/dash/bejne/hWmOl4-gpKXFobw.html Here you go.
This is great, thanks!
Thank you
What is the size of the fabric piece you've used please? 1/4 of a yard is 9", cut in half is 4.5". Then you cut the other way 4.5"? That's a square and your piece of fabric looks more like a rectangle.
does a green leaf change colour
No, it would stay the same.
I'm sorry or you could buy like little saucers at the Dollar Tree. Sometimes I have the flat little white saucers that you can buy. And they're, like, 79 cents a piece. And you can get those and make that for your bottom, too
You know, another thing you could use for your topper is the marble glass antique knobs and they have clear glass and teeth knobs that you could use, take the metal part off, or maybe leave it on, just cut your bottle down a little bit and glue it on to the top that would be really cool. I have about 4 of the clear glass knobs. I'm gonna try this and make them with the clear knobs. But also they have the clear candle plates at the Dollar Tree too that you can buy instead of using the mirror.
That would be really pretty. Would love to see it. Thank you. Miriam joy
Que papel é esse? Como posso adquirir? Obrigada bjos.
Absolutely beautiful! 😍 I'm going to try to make one soon! God Bless 😊
Pretty girl ❤
Adoreiiiiii, ficou lindoooooo
It isn't clear what this is talking about. For instance what shells? Or are they stones? Are these real sea shells? Because those don't shine. Are they pieces of glass? And you never show directly what you do with the melted crayon. There is no direct link to these shell mosaic kits on the web site. There is just a url that you have to copy and paste, and when I went there I couldn't find the shell mosaics.
Wonderful
I'm going to try and make this,....so Pretty!!!
Love this project, it's a nice looking Christmas scene😊💚

Hello Miriam, here in Botswana I make these leaves to give my little windows some color. Not much color here, but we so what we can. I buy a glue-gun just as soon as I’m able. Keep the DIY crafts alive… many, and my neighbors, loves to see them.
I cant figure out how to buy your conditioner
