I'm 83 years old and was raised up in Washington, DC after I got out of the USMC I sold insurance in the city. Back then there was no gangs and it was very safe in most areas, I met some fine Black people the youth were just like the whites and respected each other, today thee gangs have taken over both white and black it is not a only black issue even though this trial seems to point to that, if you look into their past you will find these gang members never had a Father figure to guide them take them fishing, a ball game or spend time with them. It's sad to see this how our youth have turned so evil, only Jesus can turn hearts to due good with complete forgiveness, I know this for sure I see many inmates ask the Lord for forgiveness when I was a Chaplin to several prisons and a county jail. These guys need Prayer!

Those were the days I agree 99% of what u said apart from fathers being absence yes that can be the case but also it can be just as bad if the fathers are there and showing their kids the things they are doing which are not the right way you have bad parents. Let's not forget it's not just men nowadays who are not there or living a life of crime, drugs ect. There are loads of single parents male and female who's kids have turned out as good citizens I was a single mum went bk to work after 8 weeks where as the father slept all day didn't want to work or help and was smoking weed by the 9th week I had him in court for maintenance and ordered to pay a £1.00 a week for me it was the principle than would make arrangements to see her but not turn up if he did it would be 2pm in the morning 😅 we know why. I also take responsibility as the signs were there I grow up really quick I was 26 when I had my daughter I have worked all my life from the the age of 13 and still working at 63 I have no my kids daughter has turned out just fine so not all single parents had bad kids yes in my days they used that a father not being there as an excuse but things have moved on their are fathers out there that do a better job than some mothers 😅😅😅 🇬🇧

@bobscruggs8886 sorry thought I was replying to the original comment I didn't have my glasses on 😆 The reply is still the same without the age of the original comment 😆 we have to go through the good and bad times to make who you become I look at the tough times and ask myself what lesson I should be learning life would be boring if we didn't have tough times did I always learn my lessons in the pass, hell no 😆 🤣
