I had gotten part time job and I swim laps 3 days a week. I loved my life and I was very stable. The lockdown closed my pools and su teacher part-time job.i began to feel suicidal after a few days. It took me two weeks but I rearranged my life so I get what I needed sociallyetc. I had to hit food pantrys. But I'm ok with it. I actually find everywhere I go I feel so good just seeing others that I always speak hope and God's love. That seems to really bless others .I have been building my prayer life more than before. I have to. Yes get out of limbic brain. Lol. Kinda like the lower brain .

When all else has turned against me. This man right here is a hero. I have so much unresolved trauma. And I’m in a very dangerous situation. People in my life are insensitive and avoidant of me. I have shown them that I want to heal! I’ve been ready for a long time! But alas they won’t let me forget my past. Because they still think that’s who I am. I have dealt with suicidal idealizations for years but have had more and more come up recently. This guy gets it. This channel might be the only source of light available to me but it is certainly enlightening and therapeutic.

39:10 A week?! I deal with chronic depression and anxiety and tried different medication to help to no avail, and decided that I'd put in all the effort to overcome my depression through natural and practical lifestyle changes before resorting to medication. Giving these lifestyle changes where you meet your needs in a healthy way and change how you deal with emotional pain, etc. only a WEEK to judge the difference in mental health baffles me. Maybe I'm misinterpreting what Tim's saying by "medical help", I think he doesn't necessarily mean medication but rather supports through counselling, etc.

You can do it for 50 years if there is no way to resolve it.

13:15 There is a story about a child who developed multiple personality disorder in order to survive severe physical and sexual abuse at the hand of her father. The child grew up and testified in court against her father, and took on some of the personalities she took on to survive in front of the judge and jury. This was apparently the first time that this order was used in defense in court (I don’t remember or know the particulars of the story). After learning about that story, it occurred to me that personality disorders were defense mechanisms the mind took on in order to survive terrible conditions. The problem happens when this maladaptive coping mechanism is used after the abuse/neglect/trauma has ended. So then the work lands upon the person again to give up those disordered coping mechanisms and learn new and healthy ones instead. This is a long journey to recovery, but it’s possible.

It's 2023 now, and I've been in counseling for complex trauma for 3 1/2 years. I was isolated for several years after a marriage breakdown due to emotional, physical and sexual abuse. Now that the COVID panick has died down, and I keep going to counseling, I have now hit rock bottom emotionally. I've had fibromyalgia for 25 years. I've got a housemate who is very different to me. She arrived just before the 2nd year anniversary of my dearest younger brother. I'm 61 and I have not been this depressed for YEARS. Anyone else is able to help, I'd be very grateful

Suzi I pray you find healing and peace. Be easy with yourself, one foot in front of the other. Healing in practical terms is a day by day, moment by moment practice, be conscious of your thoughts and feelings (put a sentinel at the door of your thoughts) in time you’ll feel better. I share your humanity and wish you well. From 🇿🇦

@@SpiritusMundi3thanks for your encouragement. I've been getting better, slowly, but I'm happier now than ever. Largely due to having my friend around. She is a great support and i haven't laughed like this for SOOO LONG! I've also found my spiritual home. It's a marathon, not a sprint. God bless you ❤🙏
