Here I have old Record 10 Stillson wrench spanner. I found it in local car boot market rusty and dirty.
Жүктеу.....

Excellent job, I've just done an 18 inch Garrington Blackbird, i didn't break it down, ( to scared) but i like what i did, it's hanging from the joist in my man cave with half a dozen of his mates from various makers and country's .Also into clamps and adjustable spanners ETC. Magical job on your's . Tony, Australia.

Oh wow. You got WAAAAAY deeper into that Stillson's guts than I do. I've had some really bad results trying to remove rivets without trashing the surrounding material so I do all of my cleanup with it still assembled. That being said my goal is cleaned up and well functioning while keeping the age so that it still looks used but not rusty, nasty, greasy, or abused.

I Just bought the larger one for $3. i started taking it apart tonight but had to drill the rivets out. I think i'm going to wire brush it and use Evaporust on it. I looked the company up and the last ones were made in 1911.

Where do you get those pins that hold the cage to the handle?? I’m about to attempt a restoration on one of these. I’ve seen a lot of other guys fabricate something, but they’re not like the original one you seem to use.

Hi, I reused all original parts :) If you need that pin that cage pivots on than I would suggest to look at mcmastercar.com or just make it from piece of required diameter round bar.

Strange... I have many stillies and all comes apart just like that. Maybe thread is damaged on yours? Or perhaps manufacturer put in some kind of end stop? Any pins what would stop it to go through the nut?

@@jedisgarage4775 that’s what a think. After posting the comment. I managed to take one apart. The teeth looks ok and the tread. The other one is stubborn. That I see of the teeth, it looks ok. That’s why I thought it didn’t come apart. Cheers anyway 👍
