A lot of them are not amateurs, but corporate greed, mismanagement and creative corruption prevents them from actually being useful. Not everyone has the means (in the best circumstances) or the sheer balls (in the worst circumstances), to go out by themselves and try to create a game from scratch. I don't think I can stress enough how impressed I always am by your 3D art skills. I aspire to your level of detail on such low poly models. I wish I had learned how to do that sculpting stuff in college, it looks so good. One thing I notice, that maybe hasn't been ported over yet, is that all the optics you've shown so far don't look like they have any magnification, but I assume that is a work in progress The details on the gun handling are so slick, like not cycling the action if theres a round in the chamber, and the character's trigger discipline while examining the gun, such good little details. And the fact that those animations are by hand is just so impressive I just love the Stalker-esque vibe in the hangout spots, this game might be the first game I have seen since Anomaly mod that captures those nice cozy hideout vibes. What might be a cool detail for one of the hideouts would be to have one of them running off of a little Ecoflow/Jackery style solar generator, so all the electronic elements are gathered around the generator, and outside you see the folding solar panels setup like on the roof or on the ground outside with a cable leading back to the building

The rate of your progress on this project truly defies belief. I'm also working on a game in Godot - a simple 2D side-scrolling shooter that's coming along in little baby steps - and you're absolutely storming ahead with this big atmospheric 3D shooter. You're clearly highly skilled at your craft, and putting in far more work hours than I am. I take my hat off to you, sir. One suggestion: when you stop playing the instruments, it sounds pretty abrupt. For the harmonica, there's a long reverb over the track that disappears when you stop playing. I'd remove the reverb from the audio file and have Godot add reverb in realtime, so you can still hear it echoing after you stop. For the guitar, maybe add a few little random fret/pluck noises that trigger when you stop playing. In both instruments' cases, I'd also add a very quick fade-out when you stop playing - maybe 200-300 ms - so that it sounds a little less sudden.

Excellent work mate, loved that you did a IRL Recce to the location. As seen from when you went there, be good to see more dense foliage clutter and variation in the game at some point. Thanks.

Yeah, playing guitar with gloves would be quite difficult!! Also, the left hand doesn't need to change " chords " so much!! This is frikking amazing guys! Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to get some of this!! Wipe out the competition.....

This is just simply... incredible! This is such a high quality showcase for Godot! The fact you ported this from Unity and made such huge progress. Woah. Mindblowing. Tried that demo not long ago, the performance was really good and it looked nice. But holy shit, there is so much improvement here!

Holy hell, this game just keeps looking better and better every time I see it. I have the utmost respect for what you do and the process behind your construction of this game. I watch every single one of these episodes like a kid at the movie theater. I have not seen quality videos like this from most youtubers out there. Continue your amazing work on this game. I'm sure many stalker fans who are watching this video definitely coomed their pants when you pulled out the guitar at the campfire )))

The attention to detail and passion is obsessive. I don't know much about this game, but the way he was placing those rubbish bags, to the smallest pocket detail on the character outfits shows next level passion and an eye for detail. Let alone the gunplay animations and reloads. It's mind-blowing and really puts to shame what some of these AAA game developers have been putting out recently. Unbelievable work. I'll be following to see progress.

One of the complaint i had for vannila stalker was that it had the same strumming animation for every track, even in fingerstyle but here the animation feels very real. Also went he went inside water to show the shader and sfx it was so hypnotizing!! I have so much more to say but in short this is pure art, and you're a great artist Antii. Best of luck
