In this video I repaired blown up Hifonics subwoofer. Basically I made new voice coil for it and now it works like brand new. If you have any questions comment down below.

Hey my friend, it's good to hear from you. I really enjoyed watching you do this rebuild. I don't see a lot of videos of people rewinding the coils. Impressive. You do really good work. Sounded clean! Thanks for some audio therapy.

Little bit of sewing and a very small amount of glue will fix that spider. Good luck!

I leave as is. But sometimes I use hot air gun to make it dry faster.
How did you remove the spider from the basket without damaging it too badly?
@AudioTherapy0
3 жыл бұрын
Using acetone. If its glued with epoxy then I pry it with flat head screwdriver very carefully. Starting to pry is the hardest part and you may damage it little bit.

@@AudioTherapy0 Thanks, I just took mine apart. What gauge copper wire did you use?
What gauge wire you use and can we use it for any subwoofer?
@AudioTherapy0
2 жыл бұрын
Wire gauge depends on voice coil size and space available in magnet groove. Try to use same gauge as it was before. Thicker wire requires to be longer to get that resistance (ohms)
what type of glue are you using in the yellow tube?

It’s E-6000 but russian version

Use PPE when using e-6000. It is absolutely amazing glue, but it's incredibly damaging to kidneys, maybe more.
So uhh will superglue work 😂 im broke and someone gave me a rockford TOD412 with a blown voice coil

It will work but it dries fast and will make winding process very hard. Where I live epoxy glue/resin is pretty cheap and it does not take much. I would suggest using it.

Also epoxy is more resistant to high temperatures. Super glue will start bubbling when it gets hot.
