Recife - The Metropolis of Northeast Brazil
Hello everyone and welcome to the city of Recife in the Northeast of Brazil. This is a fantastic place on the coast with a lot to see and do.
This time I visit the historic centre, the artisan Market of Pernambuco, the oldest synagogue in the Americas, the Giant Dolls Museum of Olinda, The Abolition Museum and the Gilberto Freyre Foundation. It's a fascinating place with a lot going on.
I hope you enjoy the video!

Thank you Mesquita! Recife is brilliant.
Thank you for exploring such a underrated region of Brazil, the northeast. Edit: So after watching the entire video I have a few things to add. It's not that the usage of plastic isn't something that's not talked about, it is and there were a few attempts at reducing it. There are bigger markets where you can't use as much plastic anymore, you have to bring your own cardboard box or reusable bags. We are only really crawling at these attempts but we are going there slowly. "Tropical showers" isn't exactly right although you came here in March which can more or less be labeled this way. Our rainy season ranges from late march to early august, our rain showers around march are more often brief (less than like half an hour long) and don't bring huge amounts of rain. April hits and we can have days of non-stop rain which can be very heavy or just light rain. We don't often got thunder storms in these months. About mondays it's often like that, tourism often has a higher demand around mid-week until it peaks at weekends. Monday to Wednesday are very low-demand so not everything will be avaliable. I'd always suggest to try and visit beaches and more "natural" tourism places in these low demands days while the rest could be arranged for historical tourism, visiting these important places for our history. And also sorry for laughing a little as you got progressively redder through the video lmao

Hi Vini, thanks for your feedback I really appreciate it! That's interesting about the plastic bags. I was king of surprised about it but obviously I was just referring to the supermarkets I had visited so it was good to hear from someone who lives there to get a better idea. It's always a bit hard to know what days things are closed/open when you go to a new place. That's really good advice to visit the beaches in the early part of the week and leave the culture until later on! It seems like there was loads to see in Recife so I'll have to come back at some point to see the museums I missed out on. On the whole I loved the city though. Thanks again for watching the video and taking the time to share your thoughts!

What's the name of that museum you were in at 14:46? Very cool and Recife is a city that looks very appealing to visit.

Hi Robert, I was in the museum of giant dolls at 4.46 if that is what you meant. Yeah Recife is a really good city to visit as there is a lot to see culturally was well as having nice beaches. Would definitely recommend it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
