RECAP: Individual Event 8 - 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games

Спорт

Athletes navigated a handstand-walking course in Individual Event 8 of the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games - a challenge similar to the 2018 CrossFit Games event “Handstand Walk.”
Scott Panchik and Danielle Brandon set the bar high in Heat 3, crossing the finish line in 2:05 and 1:43, respectively.
Don’t miss Panchik’s and Brandon’s dominating performances.
Watch the third and final heats of the individuals’ fields conquer each obstacle with speed and precision, looking as comfortable on their hands as they do on their feet.

Holy cow! I would take longer walking it normally, and would probably fall more. This was amazing.

I kind of get that but I think it's good to remember it makes sense to not judge athletic competitors based on the prettiest form. You wouldn't determine the winner of a foot race based on prettiest stride. Of course artistic gymnastics are an amazing way of expressing body control and athleticism, but that doesn't mean all gymnastic movements must always be performed in an artistic gymnastics style.

@@HooDRidEWhiteY I mean I get it. It's more fun than anything. It gets boring sometimes doing the same 10 compound workouts. I'm a gymnast turned body builder. So I guess what I'm getting at is I understand the allure of it. Just not for me.

@@briangalloway3684 makes perfect sense. I'm an ex-college football player turned fat family man. I've been bitten by the allure and surge of strongman. However I always get injured when I sign up for a show. I have tremendous hip dysfunction due to a shot piriformis and have a show in March. It's probably not for me.
