I will do a video eventually, but probably not anytime soon. My seals don't have many problems. Thanks for the positive feedback.

Any chance you’ll do a carb video ? Or fuel filter etc.

I would pay money for a good video about cleaning EX250J carbs… even if it’s only half as thorough as his valve adjustment video!

I poured over the parts fiche for 2008 EX250J and as similar as they are I see different part numbers for seals and pistons for front vs. the rear as well as different part numbers for the complete assemblies. Some rebuild kits don’t specify front/rear. I really don’t know if I can proceed with rebuilding unless I order all the individual OEM parts (assuming they are available).

Weird. I would assume they are the same.

@@ninja250motorcyclemaintena7 Same. There’s even a mirrored version for the Suzuki Thunder in SE Asian markets so there would be even more economies of scale if they keep these components the same for front/back. I’m tempted to order OEM parts if they are affordable enough just to see if there really is any difference.

@@iliasads3817 I didn’t. :( I had to put the brakes (no pun intended) on the project when I found that the fuel tank had completely emptied into the the crank and then rusted through enough to form pinholes. It remains to be seen if the bike will ever run again. If so, then I’ll take another look at the brakes but right now the tank is in another state getting “glass lined.” :)
