Hey Joe, I know that you’re having health problems and going out to record videos might be a problem. If you need a break then go ahead, real fans will understand. But, if you’re home you could record videos like storytimes around your backyard fire, cooking videos, gear reviews, Q&A’s, or family time vlogs

He's already talked about it a few times, it was out with Doug, and they were winding down at the campfire before bed, and they heard a really loud noise, like someone smacking two huge sticks together. They both shot up and started looking around and saw no one and nothing. Eventually, after realizing they would have no idea what happened even after looking for awhile, they decided to retire. Joe said "I wish that didn't happen..." still freaked out. Turns out, it was...

Mr. Robinet, I want to tell you that I really appreciate your videos. Since I was a child, I have gone on trips to Ontario Canada every year (I'm an American) and it was very dear to me to be out in the wilderness. I have not been able to go the last few years as my wife was diagnosed with cancer and she needs me at home to help her fight it. This week would be the week I would be in Canada, and knowing that made me think more of my wife's situation and sort of put me in a dark place. I found your channel and have been watching your videos, which have really lifted my spirits. Today we got very good news that her cancer is almost completely gone! So I just wanted to thank you for helping me get through this emotionally. Keep making videos!

Joe, just wanted to say that you really put out some great content. All of your videos are far more interesting and enjoyable to watch than any other outdoors wilderness camping guys out there that I have ever seen. You even make big names like Les Stroud's Survivorman stuff seem low quality by comparison, so keep doing what you're doing (health and wellness permitting, we obviously don't want you putting your health at risk for us). We all really enjoy and appreciate it.

Hello Joe, Whilst you were beset by tiny winged serpents that just loved to snack on you, you were talking about your new dog. How you did not bring him with you because of the biting bugs, it reminded me of something you said maybe a couple of years ago. I would never teach a new dog to have a fixation with sticks, branches or small logs. Scout always used to run too near you when you were using the axe because he wanted the branch you had. Wonderful memory so now no stick throwing for the puppy. Poor Joe We could all hear the constant whizz of thier wings on the sound and you were amid clouds of them with only half a banana. Loved it all : )

On one of the seasons of Alone, the pair built vertical walls by digging a small trench and standing the ends of the logs in the trench and then filling in the dirt to hold them in place. You could then put one more piece of your roof on the outside of the wall pieces to lock them in place. You wouldn't have to stack anything that way. Also, your roof would be tighter if you alternate the big and small ends so they fit together better. Good video Joe!

So...much...buzzing!!! I kept swatting around my head while watching! LOL! Even with all the buzzing it was a great video Joe! Way to get after another video after losing all that content from the crash! Good choice on not bringing the pup, plenty of time for him to have great experiences later. Looking forward to more progress on the Fort!

Love the videos and have been binge watching them while working nights. Makes refinery work fly by and it satisfies the outdoor itch just hearing the ambient sounds. A little trick we use to keep bugs away is a small foil pack with damp sage and lemon grass oil. Set it on a small fire and it drives all the bugs away and it doesn't have to be a big fire. Much love from Iowa brother.
