With the food sections getting more and more prevalent, I think it is about time for the return of Drunk Cooking

Get yourself an engineers straight edge and check that block is level across the whole length in both directions. Looks good and feels good isn’t good enough when it comes to engine building. I appreciate the block is much less likely to warp than the head but after the nightmare with the last engine it’s worth doing properly since the engine is already apart. Last thing you want is to start it up and have head gasket issues a couple of months down the line
Boqer is the only car youtuber that can teach me to build a hybrid V8 frankenstein motor e36 engine swap and at the same time teach me how to make a sandwich.

what if that modified oil pump is not working right hence why the first engine destroyed rod bearings ! please get an oil pressure gauge on before first start ! THUMBS UP SO HE SEES THIS !!!

@@boqer123 TBF I agree with the OP. If you've had swarf through the engine change the Pump. More than likely even if you've cleaned it thoroughly it'll still have swarf hiding somewhere and the pump lobes will have been pitted. Oh and I've already made the comment but if you haven't seen it that Sprocket Pulley went on far to easy. It needs to be either a Press fit, keyed or Grub screwed on otherwise at 7k or below your chains won't turn and you'll end mashing up your newly built engine 😢

Wayyyyyy too much sealant on mating surfaces of that oil pan lads. That'll eventually end up in the oil pickup 😬 sandwich spreading of liquids tho, taaaasty

Love your style, keep rocking it!
I like this new lad on the camera the way he asks questions not just standing n filming !
Im currently away for work, and the little segment with Effy made me so happy. Got me missing my dachshund back home Dagwood.
Sandwich filling: ham, cheese & mayonnaise. Quality ingredients with those fillings you can’t go wrong. Also love the channel. It’s my chill time reflecting on when it was just a group of mates messing about with cars, before we all settled down and had families.
This series is nuts man! Keep 'em coming💨
Been trying to do the exact same swap on my e36 and your the only KZread channel that provides a detailed explanation and I can actually understand it! I really appreciate yall
I live for the Boqer food segments 🤤
My favorite sandwich is fresh, real butter, fried bacon, lettuce, slice of cheese, tomato, fried egg(uncut) fried on lard with onion, sprinkled with cheese on top, salted and peppered. I sometimes add a sauce. If you have a pan for fried eggs(with circular indentations in it) I promise you'll like it. I may try hummus instead of butter next time
Nothing better than a Philly cheese steak imo Can’t wait to see the v8 swap finally on the road !!
V8’s, sandwiches and dogs. This mans living the dream😂😂 been watching like 7-10 years and BQR never gets boring😂
We need jack back on the channel man 😂 road trip video in the cupra would be mint
really hope next week is a big one, these videos are like therapy recently
Genuinely buzzing that you’re uploading so consistently, favourite series on KZread
My favorite sandwich is being the filling between you and Andy
Gotta be Tiger Bloom, with a Cream Cheese base, Marmite, Cheddar (mild), Tomato, Lettuce with Pickles and Jalapeños... with some crispy onions as a garnish. Bosh.
Exiting every time is new video is released, so positive even when things go wrong. Also the banta you all have is unmatched, feel like being a mechanic and a chef isn't as hard as i thought 🤔
never thought i would have both my cooking and engine build youtube itched scratched at the same BOQ delivers every time
just chill vibes and good laughs on the channel, down to earth guys that you'd happy go down the pub with 👌🏼👌🏼
Getting acoustic panels or something would be a nice shop mod, you are filming a lot inside after all. Also a good BLT sandwich is great. Added pickles ofcourse
Bro, your videos are gold.
Loving the progress of this can’t wait to see the finished article.
Honestly buzzing you’re back to regular uploads
If blue paper towel can heal my snapped neck at school, it can fix the bottom end of that engine.
i recently purchased one of the e36 tee’s for my best mate. we first met 10 years ago when i purchased an e36 328i from him. that e36 was what kick started our friendship and they’ll always hold good memories for us both. kinda symbolises our friendship. it would be sick to be able to gift him the signed frame too 🙏🏻 he introduced me to your channel aswell, here’s to hoping he doesn’t read the comment section 👀
I’m decorating my soon to be here baby room and that print would fit in perfect , my favourite sandwich is a nice thick bread ham salad and salad cream sandwich with cheese and onion crisp. Loving the videos great to see the build step by step and makes me want to a new build. 10/10
So the Perfect Sandwich; That beautifully finished e36 bread, filled with a meaty m60/62 combo mix for full taste, served with a side of comedic charm dip. Top content boys. Given a guy some happiness. Respect and thanks for the cheer you bring me

Was just watching webisode 38 again when this popped up
Watching BQR at 2:36 in the morning " them socks look sick "
Loving the progress on this, so glad the series has continued on, even if it is as the expense of the old V8! Good to see you got her detailed in the last vid too, must be pushing you on to get her back on the road asap. Favorite filling has got to be Salami with some knobs of nduja on top, lightly toasted to get the spicy juices going. Topped with gorgonzola and fresh salad!
Top sandwich but only tip would be butter your bread first as butter stops bread from adsorbing the moisture from the hummus
love the build, cant wait to see it done guys.
Loving the videos. Best Chanel about for car content and food obvs
Might want to check on that silicone sealant on the oil pan. It might leak through the bolts since you routed it over the bolts holes. Preferably the inner side so that you separate any chance of the oil to leak out. Hope this helps
I have to thank to Boqer really, I have an old gem of a 36 on my drive and been a few times I have struggled to find motivation to get on with it.. when I watch these videos I always want to spanner on it and get it half as shiny as his!
Mortadella, crushed pistachios, buratta, few rocket leaves then drizzled with EVOO and balsamic vinegar glaze 👌🏻🤙🏻
The print is class. Favourite sando right now is roast beef and caramelised red onion on seeded sourdough. Bit of Dijonnaise to keep it moist. Un-be-lievable.
Probs the best project car series on yt right now keep up the good work lads 👍
26:40 - dude is wham! Peanut butter and jelly and a little dash of sea salt.
Pastrami has to be the best sandwich filler. Been loving the resurgence of the e36!
Best sandwich filling has to be hummus and mayo on tiger bloomer, Parma ham, salami, cheese (1 slice), tomato, but of red onion, basil (smidge), pickles, and a bit of salad
T-shirt came today lads, thank you very much the quality is absolutely mint. The medium fits my body perfectly and is very comfortable, hope you've sold out!
Favourite sandwich is going to be fairly simple, but chunky. I like ham, preferably a nice thick, butcher-cut ham with a good flavour. Mature cheddar on top, cut to a similar thickness to the ham to maintain the ratio. Sliced tomatoes for moisture more than anything, and finally a layer of hummus ideally, mayo if I don't have any in. Bread I like a nice thick slice from a Tiger or similar, with a bit of crust to get stuck into around the edge but a pillowy centre. It's 11o'clock at soddin night and now I'm hungry, thanks Boq 😆
some may say a weird combo but gammon and mustard hits different also just moved into my new room so that e36 print would be perfect. loving the e36 vids too, you've done a crazy job and I love the progress your making!!
That print is dope, this build gets me going to finish my own project
Literally I’ve been binging the v8 series the whole night trough, and I have had the “my mind is telling me noo!!! But my body, my body’s telling me yees!!” Jingle, the whole night. Got a compact LHD, and I’m really considering this as a future build.😂
Very much gonna send a e36 rebuild now , jalapeños also make a great addition to sandwiches , like a pickle they got a great crunch , the juice adds flavour and you gotta love a lil spice
i would recommend putting the silicon/gasket maker on the inside of those bolt holes on the pan
Canny wait to hear that engine running, & also coronation chicken (homemade) is a winner always
You just can't beat a well made club sandwich! Keep up the cooking segment too!
Couldn’t really see for sure in the vid but little tip maybe be helpful in the future when sealing stuff with silicone i’ve always had the best luck not tightening the bolts down straight away but the parts together loosely then let it dry for 15-20 mins before tightening everything up. Helps sealing and stops you just quizzing all the silicone out.
@boqer123

Ahhh I like that tip! Cheers man
Favourite sandwich filling has got to be Sausage, Bacon & Egg...also, these engine build/blow up videos are dope!
Definitely gotta be a proper peppery chicken mayo in a crusty roll. And ofc you are the best channel! Bmx, beers, cars and food? Who else do I need to watch
thank you for being so descriptive in your build
The cooking segments really set this channel apart
Tip for next time, when you applied the sump you put the silicone on the outside of the bolt holes, it should be on the inside otherwise you might find oil will seep from the bolts

Love the vids you guys makes, im learning more from you then at school, italian sub must be the best sandwitch❤
Loving these regular posts, keep them coming Boq🤩Best channel on YT and best clothing line out there too🔥
lightly toasted sourdough bread spread with garlic oil and spicy mustard, filled with thinly sliced roast beef, cheddar cheese, heirloom tomatoes, red onion, red peppers and fresh basil leaves. Season with cracked black pepper and sea salt, straight up slaps!
26:50 Didn’t know we was going to get a gun show💪
I've been loving the constant uploads, you fellas learning new stuff as you go and tackling the problems head on inspires me to do the tougher jobs on my own cars. Also favourite (underrated) sandwich filling, grilled halloumi. Cheers boq, keep it up!
Loving the weekly uploads. Hope the cupra is next in line for some love!
I sometimes get distracted and look back and think KZread’s auto played some random food video lol, keep up the great work loving the content boys
Just a precaution when fitting the rear main best to do it with the sump off. Other wise you run the risk of fitting the rear main pissed and not getting the correct seal back on the sump. So could potentially leak from rear main or sealant
Pastrami, cheddar, beef tomatoes, onion, mustard mayo lettuce - winner every time
Hi mate, just subscribed. Really interesting stuff. Apologies for long comment. I've been working on a 840iCi project for several years, M62B44 engine. I realise this may be too late, but if it doesn't help you it may help others. There are mixed views about these V8's, some good some bad. I personally know of one engine that is now close to 400K and has never missed a beat, but the owner has been meticulous, fresh coolant every 2 years, top quality oil and filter change every year, never loading it heavily until it has fully warmed up etc. however, if I ever see an M60/62 with pink coolant in it, that tells me that it has belonged to someone who doesn't have a clue. It would be worth taking the sump pan off and re-sealing it. The VR sealant is top quality stuff, but as others have said, way too much applied, the same or even larger amount that oozed out of the outside has now oozed inside, it is just pot luck whether it stays attached or breaks off. Those later valley pans with the built-in gasket are known not to seal, the gasket is too hard for the small torque value of the M6 bolts. Some remove the gasket completely and re-seal with silicone, in my case I have applied a smear of silicone as well as the gasket. On any paper gaskets, I always apply a small amount of blue Hylomar just as a precaution. You are bound to have got some debris down the bores, the Alusil cylinder lining is a must to keep intact and clean if it has not been compromised already. I couldn't contemplate going to all the trouble to remove an M62, get it on a stand and not replace the shells. As others have said, that oil pump is suspect now, for me, not worth the risk of re-using.
Pastrami and chicken tikka mayo and mustard pickles and cheese Also love that you’re doing this build as a first ish time of rebuilding engines and just overcome the hurdles as they come love the videos
never really thought of this as asmr but 16:45 made me realise it is lmao
New favorite channel. Rebuilding bmw v8s & cooking good food 💪
I don’t like watching YT but my husband does. He’s been watching you for years and I actually watch your videos with him now and look forward to them. You guys are doing a great job and let’s hope this engine works perfect!! Oh and chicken is my favourite sarnie filling.
The signed print would look perfect in my new house! Sending love from Australia!
Favourite sandwich, 1000% raw fresh green onion, with sandwich roast beef and salt, in Fresh brown bread with a slight layering of mustard, it slaps unbelievably hard 😮💨
Best sandwich if it counts as its toasted, Bacon, Brie, Cranberry, and Walnut in a panini. It's a bit xmas season style but it's a treat anytime of the year!
Sandwich filling choice: Tuna crunch Content: Much better than Tuna crunch sandwich
Chicken with green leaf tomato and garlic sauce 👌 and love the car DIY videos good inspiration to others 🚘🛠
Yes Boq that poster is so sick, will have to buy one
Favourite sandwich filling? A rustic baguette with raclette and prosciutto will change your life.
I love how these videos go from Car, to Cooking then out of no where DOG 😂, great content Josh keep it up
Loving the build makes me want an e36 again
Favourite sandwich filling has to be ramen noodles between thick cut sliced hearty Italian bread with sriracha sauce!! Love the content lads sending love and support from Dublin 🔥🫶🏻
I can actually service/repair my own car now from learning from your videos 😂. Thanks bqr 🤜
a decent prawn mayo on granary GOES HARD
M539 restorations would be proud :)
You guys rock the frankenstien engine will be mental the best filling for a sandwich is grilled sandwitch
I love the little Andy telling jokes segment of the vids haha
Favorite sandwich filling for SURE has to be pickled red onions.. unf🥵
Fav sandwich is a good ole ham, salami and cheese with some chipotle sauce. Bonus points if the ham is sliced gammon from deli counter in shop (payday treat only)
Philly cheesesteak is hard to beat tbh. Although a good ham and cheese is a belter. Looking forward to seeing this done, going to hack was a good call. There are close to me and use them for parts when needed.
new subscriber! Hooked on the vids since you began finishing the e36! Just picked up a mint 96 328 vert from an old man and these videos really inspire me to build an e36 up. have had tons of e30's, f30's but this is my first e36! favorite sandwich filling would absolutely be an american choice for me, cheese curds! chicken, swiss, cheese curds and veggies and buffalo sauce is a solid sandwich choice for me.
Love the videos, keep them coming! Be worth checking the block with a straight edge and a light to make sure they're completely flat after cleaning them! 👌 dont want to be able to see any light under the straight edge!
my sandwich is exactly the same as yours, except swap the humous, mayo and lidl cheese for some GREEN pesto and fresh mozzarella/burrata. Simply sublime, cannot get any better 😁
Can we just get a montage of andys jokes they proper crack me up 🤣🤣
Bacon, brie and chilli chutney. Banger!
