The Stinger GT2 is a good looking car and has the performance to match. It's a solid competitor to the BMW M440i and Audi S5. It's a shame it didn't sell well on account of the Kia brand name. On another note, I really admire how, no matter how daunting the task is ahead of you, you've always got a cheerful outlook.

Don't use a torque wrench to break lugs loose. That will cause them to become inaccurate for tightening. Use a breaker bar instead. That's what they're made for. 👍

I’m sure you’re aware of this, as it should be in the manual. It wasn’t clear in the video, so just in case: these gearboxes can’t be filled full with the engine off. Must be filled while engine is running, in P or even in drive, as the gearbox oil must circulate to fill fully.

That's right, you have to fill it up until it drips a little, then start it up and raise the temperature, go through all the gears and then fill it up until it drips again. 👍🏻

Hey dude, great video as always!! You probably know this, if so ignore me.. to properly fill the gearbox, you need to run it up to temperature (just idling for 30 mins or so), and shift the lever between P-R-N-D, 20 seconds in each (just static with your foot on the brake). Leave the engine running, remove the fill plug and fill it until fluid comes out. Then you done. Put the drain plug back and switch off. TSW were a good mid range wheel, they've been around here in Europe since the 90's. God bless :)

HEY! You're absolutely right. I neglected to do that. But i am fairly confident there is plenty in the pan because the car is at a significant incline down with the fill plug at the back of the pan (The highest point) SO i think the fluid will be fine until i do my final checks and changes! That's a smart decision, for the next time
Use an old school solid state battery charger on that battery to bring it back. Newer "smart" chargers don't like a fully discharged battery. Or run jumper cables from a good battery to the depleated battery in combination with the charger so it sees voltage and will charge.

Thats a very smart idea! I will give that a go next time im in that situation
if you ever need extra leverage on a standard allen key you can take a closed end wrench and put it over the allen key given you more leverage then a 3/8's ratchet would. You need to position the wrench properly but it will pull against the key. That was a super tight spot though for sure.

Hi What else could be the reason for transmission not shifting from "P"? I'm facing a similar issue, but there no sign of trans fluid leak. Thanks

Hi! My transmission needed a lot of fluid! Also your vehicle could be missing a signal from the brake pedal , so the transmission isn’t seeing the brake being pressed allowing it to shift. If yours is cable shift. I would check the linkage underneath the shift knob and make sure it hasn’t popped off

HAHA so i was out on a ride and then the delivery driver called me and said he had arrived so i hopped off the R1M and just started unloading hahaha
Can almost guarantee the yard damaged the pan, the car would’ve be been sitting in the yard for a while so you’d think the trans would be empty already

My dad actually gives them (bad cars) away to a program called "teen challenge" here in my country. The program saves adults and teens from drugs and alcohol issues along with other issues, and leads them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ! They use the vehicles not only as vehicles but learning opportunities for the people in the program since the program is 100% free for the attendy. My dad always loves hearing about the life changing and soul changing experiences that these people share in letters back to our home from the program.
