Once I got the hang of installing and unlatching, it’s quite easy. It needs to be pushed aft really well so it will latch. Then push down on the front while unlatching. Did a three hour ride on it and it was quite a bit more comfortable than either the stock seat or the Honda forward seat. The rear part of the seat raises up more than the stock seat and makes me feel more secure on it. I think it looks much better than stock. Very happy with it.

Not a Rebel, but a Mustang seat transformed my Honda Sabre 1100. Hours in the seat are heaven.

I'm considering a Mustang saddle for my Rebel 500se. I've heard the Mustang is a good choice. Let us know more after you test ride for a while. Tell me more about that green front wheel unit...brand, cost and where to get one.

It's a Baxley Sports Chock. They make a few different sizes, but the sports chock works for the 1100 really well. Very easy to ride in (and I've been able to just walk it in as well). It sort of grabs the wheel as it goes over the pivot point. Comes in various colors as well. The rubber feet keep it from sliding (mostly). If the floor is dusty, they don't grab as well. There is also a little lock lever that keeps it from rolling out (although it really isn't necessary). It is very secure once it is over the pivot point. I also use it with a Pitbull paddock stand when needing to work on the chain or anything where I need the rear wheel off the floor.

Where I live none of the Honda dealers have any 1100 Rebels in stock. I have seen many positive reviews on YT. The seat looks good but not much different from stock.

To me that's a plus. I like the look of the stock seat and the more premium OEM stiched seat. The Honda stitched seat looks great but it's not much better than the original.

It's a shame that Mustang has done nothing to remedy the latching problem. They've know about it since day 1. I struggle to get mine to latch but once I finally did, I couldn't get it off. I sent it back for them to fix but they sent the same one back without a fix. Returned it and got a refund.

What seat did you replace, the rider forward seat or the stock seat? Did the Mustang Seat bring u closer to the bars? Still looks like a reach for you. I put 3" Rox risers on my 1100, big difference.

I replaced a forward seat. The Mustang seat seems to put me in about the same position. I like the back part of the new seat. It comes up just a bit farther and feels a bit more secure while riding. The handlebars are still a bit of a reach. I've only seen 2" risers (even by Rox). I wanted to give the new seat a chance before looking at adding risers. The last long ride didn't hurt my lower back like with the previous seat. So still just thinking about adding risers. Would like to get your opinion on the risers you added (did you need to replace any cables, etc. or re-route things?).

@@aonghusrider9014 Rox Speed FX 3" Black Pivoting Handlebar Risers 4R-P3RX01 $105.25 These are what I got on Amazon. I choose the 3” as didn’t want my wiring harness altered. This modification allows you to rotate bars back also. The brake line need to be repositioned. Check out video on Rebel 3 Forum as a member posted install. I have had 2 Mustang seats on other bikes but so wished I could get a backrest with the seat but not available at this time. I am 67 and going for as much comfort as possible. Good luck to you. Does someone make forward controls? It just looks like you need some. And some pull back on those handlebars.

Why don't they just stick a comfortable seat on to start with. Beggers belief.

It amazes me that random assholes make stupid comments like yours without knowing this is a known issue with Mustang seats for the Rebels.

You can't knock on product because you don't know how to use it and put it on properly.
