Great comparison Reno - thank you! I'm getting into kite loops on a strapless board and have been using the EVO SLS 10 - love it. I'm planning to get the 12m next for light winds and bigger jumps, but wasn't sure if Rebel might be a better choice. Your video has answered all my questions - I'm going get the EVO SLS 12m. I'm also wave riding when the waves are pumping, and find the EVO as good at drifting as the NEO, so definitely a bonus for me. On top of that I just bought a foil, so another EVO advantage there. Just one recommendation for your videos - your background music is a little too loud and annoying - turn it down to about 5% so it's just audible. Other than that well done brother, and I love the intro - keep it up!

Hi romeu thanks, fully agreed that the rebel is a super kite for heavy riders as you say ;) it gives a lot of power compared to other kites and thus is as well very good for beginners -> you will never sink with a rebel, and keeping normal size. Bar pressure too heavy as well True can be difficult for long rides

Yes, in very light wind the Rebel can be a bit technical for some riders comparing the Evo SLS, but with good wind, Rebel is a machine! Yeww happy you are having fun on the water!

Could you please talk once about the harnesses Ion Vs. Mystic, advantage and disadvantage between both brands and your opinion about it 🤙🏾 cheers

Hi Ahmed! How are you? I don’t have a lot of experience with the mystic gear so I can’t tell you much, but I’m sure with the variety of harnesses from ION you will find the harness which perfect fits you!

Hiiiii Reno !!! I liked your comparison. In my case , i would buy the rebel kite. It is because of my weight, although I already do some advanced maneuvers. Could you make some videos showing some of the tricks in detail. For example> macetes para bom DARKSLIDE, JUMP ONE FOOT....ETC . Tks man.

I am surfer mostly and planning on getting a 9 NEO, was going to get an 11 rebel for when I just wanna do big air and not go all the way out to the reef but knowing an 11 EVO is just .5 stars away for jumping than the rebel and the fact that it could possibly be my bigger surf kite with less aggressive carves than my neo makes me wanna switch to the Evo.

Olá Reno, Estou pretendendo visitar o Brasil no próximo (preá). Qual pipa e tamanho vc recomenda para aquele região. Estou indo para aprender … comprei uma pipa aqui 2 anos atrás (liquid força 12 m), porém não tive tempo de praticar pois os melhores locais ficam a 2 ou 3 horas de Toronto. Valeu pelos ótimos vídeos.

Fala Edson! Foi mal a demora em responder! No Preá você vai usar kite bem menor que 12m, vai usar 7m a 10m!

can i ask you about water relunch? sounds strange but i had really bad experience on a core XR in 13/15 knots so not a super light wind day, it left me in the middle of the sea without a chance to relounch. My Switchblade (always a 5 strut kite) in lighter wind conditions goes up easly. I use a cell kite in extreme light wind days with foil, i am oriented on big air and big air with foil. thanks!!

After some time testing different kites and different brands I made my definitive choice. EVO SLS 12 and REBEL 9 🤙🏻 Thinking well if there is wind for a 12 I will not jump over 20mt in any case, so better give priority to light wind and foil ability

Were is the best for strapless?

Hi Reno great review, this was just what I needed but I couldn't decide which kite to buy and wanted to ask you. I will be able to buy just one kite and so wind range is pretty important to me. I'm 80 kg and where I live the wind blows 13 to 25 knots. I will only be riding twin tip by the way. Which kite has a better low end, which has a better high end? As the size-wise, do recommend 11 or 10m for my conditions? The most important criteria for my decision is the wind range. I can do all the things I want to do with both of the kites but it is important that one size should cover 13-25kt range. Cheers

Hi there... Can you please make a comparison test of new 15m juice dlab vs 2021 juice 17m...i am interested if the 15m has better power in, let's say 10knots wind, vs the 17m normal juice... I am 96kg and I am not sure the dlab will have the power to pull me... Thanks

Hello, sorry for my late reply! Yes, I will definetly go for the Juice D/LAB 15m instead of the Juice 17m because with the lighter material you will be able to go in lighter wind and the 15m in the end works better than the 17m!

O dice é mais parecido com um kite C! Comando de barra mais duro, melhor pra loops. O resto todo o Evo SLS é melhor, pra downwind tambem!

I think the Evo SLS goes upwind better!

I don’t really get it, the Rebel should in theory be much better at freeride than the EVO, which is a hybrid. I suppose the materials of the SLS is lighter, but I’m not sure what he’s saying tracks with what you should expect of the EVO vs the Rebel. I have both Rebels and EVO's (non-SLS) and the EVO whilst a good kite is definitely not as good at Freeride as the Rebel or as efficient. If what he’s saying is true then there is literally no point buying a Rebel over the EVO as it’s pretty much better in every aspect save a tiny bit of jumping / hangtime... again that sounds dubious as hybrid's are good allrounders, but master of none.

Hello there! That’s my personal opinion. For me the Evo SLS is better because is more versatile than the Rebel. As I say in the video, I would only get the Rebel I would focus 100% on jumps!
