All typical Pom behaviours of course, but the possessiveness with food is something you can train her out of - with you, anyway. Everyone else ought to watch out if they value their fingers.

Pretty much this. I feel like I did so accidentally while making it very clear that my hands are what give the food, therefore I am not a threat to the food of my girls, to the point that when Hazelnut or Coconut (Brown and Tan, White with cream) has taken the 'stick' (Dreambone twists that I get the girls to chew on), they make no motion to stop me reaching in to their space to take the other's stick back. I call it food justice. Everyone gets the same goodness, and to each their whole goodness. Doesn't stop them from being kleptomaniacs when I'm not watching, but the eyes of Justice are not all seeing. =P

Her attacking the hairdryer cracked me up

In Princess Mocha's defence, some of these things needed growling at ie the neighbours and protecting her own property. Plus what is you belongs to her royal highness. I think Santa will overlook all these because she is very cute❤

My dog is like her sister. Lulu is so like Mocha it’s hilarious! Lulu tries to attack the hairdryer, has a go at people walking, she doesn’t like me trimming her paws, she fights the dog next door!

I have a black and tan pom too and he has the same attitude. Felt like I was watching a video of my dog. Guards food, growls for nail trimming and in general anytime he doesn't want to be bothered. They are so similar!

I know growling dogs are no joke, but I can’t help but laugh when she does - she sounds like a tiny Chewbacca!

OMG the adorable breaths in between her growling !!!

My dog, before she passed, would specifically go to the neighbors yard to poop. We didn't like the neighbors either so we never stopped her. Lol😂

One mistake I made with our Pom was trying to take away a steak with a bone within it. My arm got tore up in six different places. He struck faster than lightning. That day I had a new found respect for our Pom.

As a Pom owner for almost 15 years, Mocha is adorable, and she looks like my Sophie. I currently have 2 Poms. I have to say that as cute as they are, etc. we can't let them snap at us or people. There has to be limits. It is so easy to spoil them because they always look like puppies but that growling and snapping means she thinks she is in charge. And us humans need to be in charge, with love. NOT for control but they need to have a follower and some rules, for safety of them too.

Every prospective Pom owner needs to see that. Mine has actually bit me and drawn blood with the guarding issues and stealing stuff but he is an extreme case. Why I am the second owner, he is a handful. I am on my 3'rd one, the biter, my other two never did that. Mocha is very cute though.
