Totally enjoyed this movie. Oddly, never even heard of it. And, very surprised that i didn't even recognize Susan Hayward! One of those films i'll watch many, many times. Thank you SO much!

Thank you for this great movie. It's hard to find these lost gems. I enjoy many of the actors and the cinematography is spectacular for it's time and even now. There are a lot of films that are just that, just films.

Look out for the lavender tones in Technicolor: Susan Hayward's dress arriving at party in Charleston. No film medium has ever reproduced lavender like Technicolor: a hallmark. I almost didn't recognize Ray Milland all prissy! And what a great villain, Massey. Good music, too. I am amazed I never heard of this film.

That is some impressive piece of high wind acting by everybody involved, esp. Ms. Goddard.
Good story with lots of twists and turns and no fear of losing key players. Nice to see all those stars in their younger days.

Best damn movie I've seen in a long time. Plot shifter.
One of the most fun things about this film, other than a Strong Female Character who's still feminine, is that it's an interesting piece of actual history long forgotten unless you live in Florida. The Florida coast is an absolute ships' graveyard.
Charleston is one of my favorite places it a living museum and I love that Low Country food.

China did not take over Hollywood. The Trump cult is not news or the truth.
Great movie. Over the years only saw bits and pieces then finally saw it all. A real classic film based on real people and real sailing ships. The giant squid was questionable until I saw Pirates of the Caribbean. I know that part is true.
The language utilized in this film is fascinating.
Great movie
Nice classic movies.
At the time in 1942, the giant squid would have been animated with stop motion.
