I'm going through a jazz moment myself and want to inhale all the books too, so im trying to ride the high 🤣 Physical reading for me will just always be my fav. It just hits different and is so satisfying. but I have grown to really love and support audiobooks too.

Right!? It is getting read asap. After peace weekend with realmathon, I'm immediately opening it. Yeah i feel like if I read it in my younger years, it would've done more for me. It feels YA in the beginning.

Adding In the Roses of Pieria to my tbr and yes that edition is STUNNING! Death Valley sounds good - I'm planning to read Milk Fed by her first. Ooh I really want to read Bloom too. I don't know if you've read mexican gothic but it's very much nature/fungi based horror and it's SO GOOD.

That book sold me at “fungal fae” 🙋🏻‍♀️ quickly added to priority tbr!! Also you’re not missing out on Powerless. That was a 2 star read for me. Felt too insta lust and very minimal world building 😴 I enjoyed tog more than acotar simply because I like tog fantasy settings more, and just going through it with the characters for multiple books. Although I will say in Kingdom of Ash I did want more consequences considering a full cast of characters but sjm is very vocal about not doing that 😅

Right!? Fungal fae sounds so amazing. I hope it delivers. Its definitely getting read soon!! Powerless feels very reminiscent of hunger games just with magic and way heavier emphasis on romance. Definitely insta lust feeling but ngl the audiobook is making Kai more appealing to me 👀 I feel like a lot of people like ToG because it definitely has more world building so thats totally fair.

The forgotten Sisters does have a detective pov! I really enjoyed it! But I also like procedurals 😂 I've been hearing great things about death valley! I'm excited to read that one! Whaaa?!! People are attacking shadows? 😭🖤🌙 I had no idea 😂 🌵🌵🌵🌵

Hmm OK I may give forgotten sisters a try but very few detective povs work for me. I almost need them to knowingly be cheesy and cliche 😂 I enjoyed the one in head like a hole for that reason. Oooo yes I would love to hear your thoughts of death valley. I've heard a little attack talk, but I know shadows is the biggest team, so I figured people would aim there first 😂😂 that's been my only attack moment so far.

I'm loving these long vlogs! Definitely feel the same about "nature horror" so now I want to check out Starve Acre. What the FMC has to do at the end of Kingdom of Ash is one of my least favorite fantasy tropes of all time lol. I still love the book but I hate when characters have to give up parts of themselves like that. I'm curious to see when I reread if I'll feel differently about having audio

I think Illumicrate has a quarterly horror box. Called Evernight? Maybe? I didn't sign up for it cause I'm not a horror person, but the editions look very cool.
