When a person starts telling you everything they have to do ..and how much it’s going to cost him to do it.. you should definitely just walk away

I sold a mint green datejust 41mm with fluted bezel and oyster bracelet to a watch dealer back in September 2023. I paid $10K for it, he offered me $13.5K and straight up said, “im going to put it up for sale at $14K…. I figured there was no way he was telling me the truth about his price … but sure enough, I kept watching his online offerings and it was put up for exactly what he’d said. Dude was straight out honest, and good guy to talk to and get to know.

But you can also sell them way faster than any other watch

That's why they are so expensive. Each dealer pays 5% more each time it is passed on, and then when a customer wants to purchase it, the price has significantly increased.

But then who do you sell to? You need to sell your watch worse than they need to buy it and if you don't "let them steal your percentage" you get no percentage because you probably won't sell it.

For somebody that retails watches, but he’s talking about the wholesale side of his business, that doesn’t make any sense to me if I were on the seller side You can’t talk to me about how you wholesale it when you have a retail market that’s smoke and mirrors

Signs of a dying market that was so overhyped and saturated there is no room for anyone anymore. Not to mention the hyper copies available now in every premium brand.

Wholesale price would be box bag recipt? Infront would be one across from the ither Online is dealership next to you? Or who your standing next to? What do you get for a whole sale alone? A whole sale perhaps a Fille? Maybe a moonyecca? A doll How much is a Doll?

Funny how they want top dollar for there product but never top dollar to the customer selling his goods back. It’s never a enough profit margins for these guys.

That's why it's all the scam. Hardly any actual customers are buying these watches. It's just from dealer to dealer. It will all come crashing down eventually

I don't understand the appeal of Rolex. I understand the investment component, but I think they are boring watches for the most part. They all look basically the same and they just change up the colors occasionally.
