Girls, firstly congratulations on becoming doctors. It’s such a huge accomplishment, no matter where you will be doctor-ing! It must’ve been stressful getting your 8th choice & then placeholder for Hazal (UKFPO really never fails to disappoint on a yearly basis), but I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason and this move will shape your life in so many beautiful ways that you may not have imagined. You will meet so many amazing people and make friends that you wouldn’t have otherwise. Wishing you both the best of luck for the next stage of your journey as doctors ❤

Congrats on finishing med school! As for Coventry, Hazal the doctors are great to learn from. I'm currently a student at Warwick and you'll deffo find it a step down from London, but if you can drive, you'll be fine in most parts of Coventry and can commute easily - it's not too big! If you want to live closer to the hospital, it'd be Walsgrave and loads of doctors/nurses do house shares near there. Only thing is it's not the safest area, so you might be better off living a bit further away and commuting. But you'll be fine!

My brother and I are studying medicine and were literally discussing this yesterday! It's such an unfair system and I'm so sorry Hazal it hasn't gone the way you wanted but I know you'll make the most of it!

Congratulations on your jobs and finishing medical school. You've smashed it! Honestly the system is frustrating and doesn't take into account that we have lives. Unfortunately the changes in training never stop. Im an Obs and Gynae reg amd on my 3rd curriculum change for training. I did my F1/F2 in East of England too 10 years ago 😮 - I have a video on my channel about my reflections 10 years on.

I hope you get allocated asap, it must be unbelievably stressful omg 😫 having lived in Coventry, I would 100% not recommend living there loooooool - if you drive, look into Leamington Spa/Warwick as they're much nicer (all the Warwick uni students live that way so there's still things going on), Cov is a bit of a dive/quite scary at times loooll (tho perhaps on par w Whitechapel when you were in Floyer saying that 😂)

This is really annoying & frustrated to get 8 spot and not knowing yr rotation schedule to start preparing, looking for safe places and hit you with the news of unknown job place like what do you mean??? At least info about decision deadline.. hopefully it works good at the end and who knows maybe you guys end up working together ❤️❤ congratulations on finishing medicial school yes! its hard and you did it and you can do this too!!! I just graduated Medicine this year too :))🎓

When I read the title I thought you were going to complain about rotas/pay etc… and I was thinking that this information is readily available so you can’t complain. However, this is completely different because you didn’t have a chance to make an informed decision as this change happened when you were already in medical school! Sounds stressful! I am sure you will both make the best of it & good luck 😊
