Hi Ed, I love all your work and you are easily one of the top airbrush artists living today. Great work, thanks for sharing.
I'm just getting started in airbrushing. Hell, my starter kit hasn't even arrived yet! BUT, as I troll for beginner lessons I find that I like your teaching style. Just enough commentary to get the points across and plenty of action to demonstrate what you're talking about. You'll definitely be on my regular list for online instruction!

Lawson Poling. Have an update on how things are going with the air brushing? I tried it as a kid with a walmart quality airbrush. Think it was a testors contraption sold in the model and model paint section. Was using it for models but gave it up because the brush was designed to hook to a can of air and not a compressor. Tried it again in my 20's and started doing flames. Flames are the easiest thing in the world as there is no absolute pattern or even a spectrum that has to be followed like skulls for instance. As a newb the hardest thing is getting use to the spray pattern and how much air/paint to let through. Once you get the practice in to control that flames are easy peazy.
Hey Ed thanks for this video!!! I just did a Harley Road King using this technique - My customer took it to the "Blessings of The Bikes" and everyone flipped out about it and commented about how great it looked. Since doing it I've picked up three other Harley's to paint and a mud truck. I still need a bit of help with my flames so I got your all fired up dvd and have watched over and over - my flames have come a long way! Thanks again - as always your videos are tremendously helpful!!!!!
Turned out real pretty. I enjoyed watching you paint the flames.
Stumbled across this by accident, man your work is fantastic. Magic
Excellent, excellent work, my friend. I absolutely love it. It's exactly the realistic, whispy style of ghost flame look that I've been looking for to put on my Fender Strat guitar. I'm going to check out your web site to see how I can get that same look. thanks for sharing!
Thanks Edd, your videos and wisdom have been a great help to many. Good fortune to you.
I want to paint my own scooter, been hobby painting for years, i believe i can do it, after watching the videos, but i'm going to order the cd, i'll sit and watch it for hours i'm sure!! Thanks Brother!
Thanks for the compliments it is nice to hear once in a while.
Will do and thanks for watching I am glad that you have gotten some thing out of my videos.

sweet, i think your website is a breakthrough as far as this stuff goes, I would rather pay the yearly then figure out which videos i can afford to buy and in which order, you are an amazing person, with amazing talent. thank you for your dedication!
Very cool method for making flames blend into the color of a paint job. I have been thinking about airbrushing one of my rides for some time, but have yet to convince myself what to put on it. Your video has provided me with some very useful ideas. Thanks
Amazing, I've been doing graffiti and normal drawings on paper all my life, and because of you now I came to airbrush world...I've seen all your videos helped me a loot...huge THANKS "RESPECT"
I love your videos, and how you take the time to explain what you're doing and why. I picked up a couple of cheap air brushes and plan on attempting some ghost flames , true flames and Hot Rod Style Flames and some water bubbles and such in the spring because of these videos. Much thanks and keep up the good work...
muy bonito su trabajo me gustaría verlo en tiempo real.saludos desde bogota colombia
Yes and also you can use the same color the car is and tint it either lighter or darker and come up with a cool effect.

Dude, your work is excellent
Glad you enjoy them.
Ed, you're the best! A great teacher and has a positive energy. Thanks for your tutorials! Ed, a question, what is the ideal pressure for the airbrush? I'm having problems with clogging, do not know if it's pressure or ink...
Love the vids man you've inspired me to start trying to do this. Thanks
This guy is an amazing artist...
Thanks Ed, can't enough of your youtube lessons. I often wonder sometimes, how much of airbrushing is using one's brain rather than actual painting
Yea ive learned quite a bit from watch your videos and everytime youtube tells me theres a new video it gets me in the mood to paint
Hmmmm...getting all sorts of ideas for a ghost mural on my truck . She is old, a bit beat up and ...black . I already have a mountain scene on the tailgate so , now I need to do the sides and this video has given me what I need . Thanks Ed ! I will send along a picture or three when I get it done =)
Very cool. Thank you. I tried this for the first time the other day. It started out good. Then I tried to fix it. lol. You really got to have a knack for this. I'll get it. Sometimes less is more I think

Really nice! Wonderful work.
Nice job. I love your work and talk about you and your website to my buddies getting in to airbrushing. I still consider my self new to the sport lol. I will send you some videos and pics of the work you helped me with. If anyone reading this wants to do this his videos are the only videos I buy they are outstanding and explain everything so you can understand it. I had some videos I purchased in the past from other people and they would skip explaining some steps. Thank you

That is awesome man,congrats.
Nice job as always Ed. I have to say that I think your construction of flames has gotten way better over time. I remember the earlier days, and I like these much better! I have always struggled with that myself, but feel like I learned alot from your vid. I have several other of your DVD's, but I haven't seen your ghost flame one. How long and how good? Keep up the good work, and thanks again for the tutorial.
Thanks for the compliment.
cool flames thanks for the tips
Hello! Watching your videos has inspired me to get into detail airbrushing. You give great advice, especially for newcomers, and I want to say thank you for that. Right now I own a badger universal 360 that I use for models, and I'm wondering if you've heard anything about how effective they are. I haven't found any non-model reviews and before I spray auto paint through it I want to make sure it won't destroy the airbrush. Thanks again for your videos!
Thanks for the help and yes he is correct.
about time lol so miss seeing u on here
You can use either but I would do a text panel first just to see which way you like it first.
Nice job man.. your videos are awesome.. almost evertime I turn on my compressor on of your videos are on haha keep up the good work dude Toammy (Scotland)
Thanks! im 13 years old, me and my dad are restoring a 1970 gmc truck, i want to learn how to do ghost flames and skulls, looks like i found the guy to help!
Thanks and have fun.

I'm learning off this video how to do these great video man
Just did nice work.
@cpaden7 It is a exhaust chamber with a friction fan pulling the fumes through the tube. I have reduced paints in containers for months on end.

Love the chrome flame please do a vid on that ,or did i miss it
Where I can buy plastic base plates to hold the paint as you used, thanks greetings from Peru
really good job. the only problem i can see with it is material buildup. can u do a thickness test
Thank you for this informative video. I am newbie with airbrushing. I only started a week ago as hobby. I once tried to paint flames but it didn´t go so well, yet. Can i ask what needle size and PSI you had when you painted this? Thank you for possible answer.
@edhubbsairbrushing

0.35 needle at 25 psi
Hey Ed nice work I'm currently working on a fender and I was think of painting colbolt blue skulls on it then ghosting them in. But can you use the ghost technic with a darker colour underneath and a reduced Lighter colour on top since my finder is silver. Thanks
many thanks for the info......

What psi are you using?
Hi Ed, I appreciate your job and your tips help me very much. I would like to know what model arbrush you are using in this video? thank you
One is a siphon fed air brush and the other is a gravity fed air brush. One is not better than the other it is just personal preference on which one you like better to use.
Great technique, Ed! Thanks for sharing!! I wanted to ask though, have you ever had an issue with the base coat trapping wax and grease remover? I've had it happen to me, like after pulling mask, then useing wax and grease remover to clean up before next layer or before clear. Has happened with both HOK and Planet Color. Just wondering what your thoughts are. Later man...
I don't understand people... I bet none of them can even do a simple flame job never mind a Ghost flame job I got hooked on to this channel because of all the neat Airbrush and other works of art I saw! plus there are tutorials. TUTORIALS! Yet nobody appreciates it... that's sad... I mean I'm so impressed that I I'm itching to try... out airbrushing... You guys seriously need to show more appreciation. You don't like it that's cool but please don't insult the man. his got kick ass skills!
Hey Ed, I'm a huge fan. I have learned a lot from you so thank you. I was wondering is there another way to do ghost designs not just flames? I heard of using a pearl clear instead of paint to give the illusion. What do you do and do you think this is a good idea
Yes it will tis is a metallic that I sprayed on the blue panel.
Great WORK!!!

I Like your videos just one question does it matter what kind of airbrush to get....what would be good....its been awhile for me use to have the Badger 175.....want to get back and maybe sell my art online also....whats my best option?
