This is upfront and real. A lot of people are talking about how to start a clothing brand through printful and printify but are only doing it for the money. This is a great video and explains what it's really going to take for someone who actually has a passion and wants to start their own long term brand.

POD could be good for even a real brand if you could find a good enough POD customization service for the clothing depending on the level of customization youre trying to do. Like I want to make techwear jackets and pants and that's just not possible with POD. I have to learn to sew and find fabric and all that. Although if you want to get technical with fabric and design of the fabric personal care of the clothing seems the way to go. Till I find a POD that does close to 100% customization on all levels my main goal can only be handled by me. But if you're looking for funds to support your main clothing brand POD could be a good side hustle and you can still put heart into it with a good enough POD service. There are some solid POD companies and iv seen brands started off straight POD and not just someone trying to make a quick buck but that just isn't the route for me and I'm sure everyone here. Goodluck out there yall. Create dope s$;%

@Joel Blanco depends on your capital. If you don't have alot I would say get a few samples, wear and promote them with a pre-order. If you can afford it start out with 25-50 items and store them yourself and wait till you sell out. If you chose to do 25 items at probably $12 each let's say that's $300 give or take a few not including shipping. So just depends on your capital. People will do pre-orders definitely I've heard of people making 10k off pre-orders their first drop but you need to let people know what a pre order is and that it will have longer wait times. Also you look less reputable if you always do pre orders but for your very first few drops you can but do in-house as soon as possible

Yo, So i’m a 14 year old trying to make a clothing brand and since you’re clearly a professional in this stuff i was wondering if you could tell me if there’s anything i should change and not do with this current plan i have on getting my clothing. What I currently have going on is I have a private manufacturer from pakistan making my hoodies for 25, and before i found this guy i was working with a local vinyl shop that could only do dtf so I made the choice to go with this guy since he can do wayy more. So this guy is charging 25 per hoodie and I was going to spend all of 400 dollars on samples plus like 15ish hoodies to sell to kids in my school. I’m also building my platform on different social medias along with have a running website with all of my designs posted on it just until i’m going to go online. Right now i’m only selling to family and friends so i was gonna use that money to get the starting profit to push my brand even further. Do you have any suggestions or anything you could say to guide me in a better direction if i’m mistaking on certain things. I’m truly passionate about this and want to make this all work. I know i’m young but I got a hell of a dream bro

Thanks for the grat content man. I have a question about logo design. I started to design my Logo via laptop with adobe illustrator but it didn't had that realistic look as my hand drawing... now my question is if it's better to design logo's with a tablet were u can draw on and then vectorize it or are the outcomes with laptop and a tablet the same? Should i just try to learn adobe illustrator more or should I invest into a tablet? I would really apreciate your suggestions

So should l have the shirts ready to go in my hand BEFORE l promote and showcase it on my IG/TikTok? is it okay to have my design laid out on the shirt before hand and post like samples i make on PS? just to see people’s reactions? & One more thing, Should l use the Embroidery shop’s shirts to print on? I am wanting to start a clothing brand called "Unidentified" made for everyone who feels like they don't fit in with any particular group or are different. A brand that anyone can be part of and not be judged. A brand that doesn't care about hype. I have a ton of amazing clothing designs and logo ideas but I don't know where to even start and it really sucks because I feel like I can make something really great.

@@seaggs wanted to make masks with "unidentified" printed the on the forehead and barcode printed on the back. T shirts would also all have a barcode printed on the back upper neck area inspired by Hitman I think this would be a key recognizable cool piece to get the brand noticed and popping. Main t shirt logos would be famous images of famous people with blacked out boxes over their eyes with "unidentified" print written inside the boxes. I have alot of other cool ideas that's just a few to start so far

In the UK its about £15K to start it off. It's not fucking easy to start a business in it, and its realistically GOING to fail. That said I have my own ideas. Anyone who wants to start a HOODIE brand needs to check their head. Its so easy therefore OVERSATURARTED.
