@@jcolley82 no rep will ever be constructed as good as the actual product though. Even if it’s better than the reps here, it’s not held to the same QC standards as the actual shoe.

I had a pair of fake 8s. Leather was about the same. Outsole was a bit warped, but they held up for over a decade of weekly use. You should do videos where you don’t know which one is authentic.

​​​@@samaantree Exactly. The problem now is Nike's QC is so bad, that the good reps look better than the real thing. I won't buy non hype shoes that are reps, b/c that doesn't make sense once you figure shipping into the equation.. But I'm sure asf not going to pay $500-$1000 for some sneakers, when I can get the best batch of reps for $$150-175 (including shipping). No one can tell the difference, & you can wear them everyday, without worrying about messing them up.

We’ve needed this for not just sneakers and boots but shoes in general so people who are not even into boots/sneakers but want to make an educated purchase for work or just leisure shoes do effect are health in a way why not get good quality ones

These fakes are made using the same material on similar machines by the same workers in china. I think the differences seen in the fakes can just be quality control. I’ve sold shoes I bought from stockx and the guys buying the shoes were shoe collectors and I don’t think they knew what to look for.

nike’s QC is straight ass theres fake panda dunks with better stitching than retail

I honestly never watch the sponsor parts of KZread videos but that water bottle actually looks really cool.

It’s certainly going to ruffle a few feathers knowing that the fakes are using basically the same materials across the board, maybe even the same tooling too. It’s going to be crazy hard for those who are looking to buy genuine too, not that paying resale prices are worth it at all going from your videos. Keep it up!

Did you hear him at all? Ones made with real ballistic nylon one isn’t lol. One has a far superior construction because of the cement they used. This clearly puts the argument to rest about made in the same factories of the same materials BS that a lot of he fake sneakers guys promote. It’s a lie. Not to mention one retains value one is worthless

@@BigDirtDawg as others have said you’ve missed the point here. Anyone can do what they want with their money but when reps are getting better and better every year it’s hard to justify spending stupid resale on sub par products for most people.

If you experienced such clean crack on carbon fiber composite with same load level then that means the carbon fiber used in the authentic pair was acutally worse (assume they had similar stiffness). All the fake ones experienced either delamination or matrix failure, but as the fracture was so clean on the anthentic pair, that means they expericed fiber failure (breakage), which is more fatal type of failure for composite.

he was talking about the original 11s he reviewed months ago being much different than the authentic ones he had for this video, and its probably a Jordan thing, for a while Jordan brand wasn't using real carbon fiber, they painted plastic to look like carbon fiber, so maybe he had ones of those last time.

chances are the fakes had fiberglass inserts.

You should do cut in halves fake and real sneakers without knowing which one is fake and then guess. That should be a little more interesting.

There in the same factory no different there just the ones with issues kinda like how the clothes are at TJmaxx and Ross they get the defective clothes from polo and Nike and all brand names now

Yeah, most likely the top tier fakes are just the authentic one that "fell off" from the line.

This is what I been waiting on. I think the authentic needs a softer compound because the carbon fiber shank is so strong. On the fakes you would go vice versa to get the same feel I guess. Either way you are making a compelling case for not paying over retail.

U can also do regular Nike dunk vs Nike dunk by you edition, they have better leather quality, it will be cool if you grade it and compare theese shoes.

Have you considered doing these reviews with the reps blind? Have someone at the shop label the shoes 1-4 or A-D, you put them through all the testing not knowing which are the legit pair until all the results are in. Could be interesting to see how things stack up or how you comment on things not knowing the legit pair.

I've had both..I bought a pair of 11s when they were first put on the footlocker floor and those 11s were good quality plus I hooped alot in them..and I also had a fake pair of the black and white 11s..not as nice if you ask me..such as glue and durability also play alot of basketball in those too...nothing like the originals if you ask me...great video!!!Rose Anvil rocks!!!

This was great, very concise and informative. It is good to see the guts of the shoe, and i'm surprised that counterfeiters continue to use that terrible glue. If they're gonna use OEM materials, why not do the same with the glue. But kudos on the videos

Not sneaker related but I got an old pair of Ariat work boots, maybe three or four years old. I’d love to send in to be cut. Stopped using them for work last year and now they’re used to mow the lawn or do work around the house.

To answer the question at the end. I liked the video but I like the ramble, it is neat, it is how I try to do my videos but get complaints. Which is odd as the rambling is some times the best part.

There are various ways to manufacture carbon fiber and also direction of the weave that impacts how it might crack.

Back in the day I had bought a pair of fake Jordan 3’s for around $60. They were great for a few months then the glue and stitching failed causing them to come apart.
