This is my second favourite video. I think you should make more videos like this. I bought Bleu de Chanel a while ago and i really started to panic when i saw this video. I checked like everything, logo in the cap, bottom of the flask but still.. But then after a while i started receiving many compliments in school when i was wearing it and now i don't care if its fake or not because this juice is amazing! I get only 6 hours of longevity though.

This is now 2019, and most BDC fakes have exactly the same magnetic cap as the real one. The fragrance itself is quite believable, too. And it's still extremely hard to get the real ones from the online sellers other than authorized ones.

i also noticed when watching these fake vs real on utube, that the atomisers straw always seems to have a bow in it. its like the measurements taken aren't as accurately made. personally i think if you are trying to get a deal on line, when it comes to chanel or dior designers your better off just going to a department store. theres not much money to be made off chanel or dior for discounters, cause there both so careful who they let sell there frags. at most you may save 20 bucks and there's an assumed risk. good vid, thanks Al

I recently bought one on ebay and not sure if its real or fake. Everything is matches. Magnetic top, dark blue bottle, non white lettering, embossed cc on top, made in France. Only thing missing is the serial number on the bottle. Does chanel always have a serial number on the bottle?

Bought mine at Macys. Everything is good except the bottle says made in France and the when I took off the cap, it looked like the fake one (long and no washer). Mine is the 5 oz. what’s ur opinion?

The giveaway for me was the writing Chanel writing on the face of the bottle, Chanel normally has thin writing.

One more thing... the cap is magnetic and if you look INSIDE the cap you will see the CC logo.

Al, 1st of all great video! All 4 of my Chanels are Made in France, BdC (EDT and EDP), Allure Homme, and Allure Homme Sport. I bought them all at Holt Renfrew in Canada. Also fyi, the magetic cap on the BdCs are not interchangeable. The EDT cap will not fit on the EDP bottle and vice versa.

Just buy from the retail like Macys that way there is no question. Sometime these designer colognes give free gift such as duffel bag, etc. with a purchase, and that is a good a time to buy them.

I agree with you up to the made in the US part.they produced three different ones. Your bottle is eau de toilette which only says that on the bottom .some eau de parfum and parfum are imported and it's written on the face . But you ain't bad kid , good job

the difference can be seen from the plane, c'mon. the writing on the fake one is like handmade by a guy in the darkness. also, check the transperency of the bottle.

The stamped numbers on the bottom are called a batch code not (serial number) they should match the bottles on almost any fragrance you can find these go to checkfresh.com type in the batch code and it will tell you who made it and how long ago it was made. some times expired fragrance is worse than a fake. At least fake are made with fresh ingredients. If it's fake it won't show up.

All of my Chanel's BUT my Bleu De Chanel was made in America. Bleu De was made if France, but the NY company was mentioned and etched serial number on back of bottle towards bottom. Magnetic top of course and purchased at Belks

Just bought EDP from ebay. Pretty sure it's fake. The cap is not magnetic (doesn't even stay on, it will fall off if you invert the bottle. The logo on the top of the cap looks poor quality. However! the bottle does have greyish leterring at the bottom, and the letter at the front of the bottle is speckled sliver and overall good quality... And it does have serial number etched near the bottom of the back of the bottler. The sprayer also looks good with details. So I think they have somewhat improved on the fake bottle :/

ATTENTION ; The 150ml original perfume valve is the same as the fake 100ml perfume valve, this comparison is only valid for comparing 100ml with 100ml

I ended up with that fake one on video from Fumeso :( Costed me £62.50 :( The alarm bells rang when I opened box to reveal an EDT cos I ordered EDP instead. Then it all went downhill from the shittyy cap to the shitty box that hardly had any batch numbers and other info.

How good is the smell on the fake ones?

Some BDC fakes also have magnetic caps. Also in doubt the authentic bottles are straight as they can get, whereas the fakes are crooky and have a lot of imperfections in the glass

What if the bottle & the box are real but the juice inside is fake ?? How could you tell?

On my bottle the serial number ethced on the glass is visible on the lower portion of the bottom in stead of the top. Other than that everything else checks out. I even did a batch code check and it came back as being manufactured in march 2016. So does it nean mine is fake. Someone let me know.

What about the smell? Do They smell similar?

I guessed wrong this time.. i thought surely the bottle with the most juice left was the fake. It must smell pretty good for a fake. lol

Unfortunately ive had 2 counterfeits from ebay. First one had a magnetic cap but didnt Aline right. Bottle was all scratched up... Paint on the bottle was chipped and label on bottom was crooked with bubbles underneath the sticker.. Yes a sticker. It also had the made in france instead of usa. Smell at first wasn't bad but hell in 2mins it was gone. The second one had a better box which doesn't leave fingerprints.. No magnetic cap.. A better sprayer though... But it had the same kinda cheap swirled up glass they make the bottles from. The label on bottom was halfway rubbed off and this was new in plastic with a macys return sticker on it. So go figure. Seller refunded me because i called him out on it but others was like BEST SELLER EVER! Im like yeah ok man if you say so. Hope you dont have a hot date in the next few days. Both sellers also had a feedback of 100% and had sold a ton of this stuff over months time. Which shows people really don't care because there saving money or they have not a dam clue on what they're buying. Thanks for the video man and the rest of them. I used this one to confirm my first counterfeit a few months back.

At 1:28 Mark, when you asked you we can tell which one is fake. Immediately the one on viewers left is fake, that may be your right. But the one closer to your background of white and brown board behind it... Within the fake bottles on the underside of the atomizer, there is a plastic 2 cm bulk, that the real one never has.

I think we should all stop buying fragrances all together. They are expensive Either reformulated with terrible performance or fake. No fragrance has great performance anymore

I stopped buying Chanel for 90 a bottle when I could get a creed or bond for 110... or better yet a split of aventus or Tom ford... love Chanel but not enough to pay full pop... I picked up a encore noir for 30, a pure malt for 60 and a bottle of chergui for 59 from fragrance net ....

Depends on where you bought it from. I think most of their N America products are produced in the USA for tax and customs reasons.

My is made in France..and also serial number 2702..magnetic cover but letters are king of silver now I dont know

I'm pretty sure they're EDT. The EDP and Parfum version say it on the front of the bottle.
